Sahyankan 2026 Trek Overview
Sahyankan 2026 is the 22nd edition of the biennial trekking expedition organized by Chakram Hikers, Mulund. This five-day adventure explores remote sections of the
Sahyadri mountain range in South Konkan, covering hidden mountain passes, dense forests, historic forts, ancient temples, and scenic ridgelines.

Key Highlights

Duration & Schedule
- Duration: 5 Days
- Start Point: Sawantwadi Railway Station (7:00 AM)
- End Point: Kankavali Railway Station (Approx. 4:00 PM)
- Batches: Five batches scheduled between 21 December and 29 December 2026
Difficulty Level
- Moderately difficult trek with a few challenging sections.
- Requires trekking 8 to 10 hours daily.
- Elevation gain and descent of approximately 1,500 to 2,000 feet per day.
- Good physical fitness and mental endurance are essential.
Arrangements Provided
- Non-AC bus transport between trek points.
- Accommodation in tents, temples, and designated campsites.
- Vegetarian meals throughout the expedition.
- Experienced trek leaders and first-aid support.
- Technical climbing assistance wherever required.
Participant Responsibilities
- Arrange personal travel to Sawantwadi and return travel from Kankavali.
- Carry all mandatory trekking gear and personal essentials.
- Follow trek leaders’ instructions at all times.
- Respect nature and maintain cleanliness throughout the trek.
