The two set out for trek accompanied by two more friends, the police said.

Police inspector Vikas Jadhav told TOI that the accident occurred when they were coming down a green algae-ridden step where Seth slipped and fell into a deep valley.

 सर्वांनी मंगळवारी नाणेघाटात मुक्काम केला. बुधवारी सकाळी ते चौघे जीवधन किल्ल्यावर गेले. तेथून उतरत असताना पाय घसरून दरीत पडल्याने रुचिका जखमी झाली.
