People planning for nature trail to Panorama point @ Matheran, then please do not go.
The entire stretch from the parking lot area to the end of the pano point is disturbed as an artificial wall is built along the way on both the sides and the trail route is made wide by clearing trees. Also paver blocks are installed at some places. They are also planning to put up light poles on the trail.
The places where we used to see the Indian violet tarantula, Yellow thigh tarantula, Green vine, Bamboo pit viper, Travancore wolf, Green keelback, Montane trinket, Cat snake, Common krait, Rock gecko, Deccan banded gecko, Spotted leaf-toed gecko and many other species is all gone.
