SUMMARY:One Day Trek to Rohida - 6 August 2023
DESCRIPTION:One of the significant forts in Maharashtra’s past is Rohida. The fort is 1116 metres from the mean sea level and was constructed during the Yadava era. The fort was apparently restored by Mohammed Adilshah\, and Chhatrapati Shivaji took control of it in May 1656\, according to inscriptions on one of the entrances. In 1666 AD\, it was given to the Mugals as part of the Purandar Treaty. The Pant Sachivs of Bhor held the fort after the reign of Shivaji Maharaj and remained there until independence.Three entrances\, a temple\, six bastions\, and a few water cisterns are present.
