SUMMARY:Harishchandragad Night Trek Via Pachnai Route - 22 June 2024
DESCRIPTION:Harishchandra Gad Night Trek: 22nd-23rd June 2024. \nSummary: \nType: Hill Peak (Western Ghats)Height from Sea Level: 1422 mGrade: Easy to MediumEndurance: ModerateRange- Malshej Ghat \nAbout Harishchandragad:Harishchandragad boasts a profound antiquity\, with remnants of Microlithic civilization unearthed within its bounds. Revered in ancient scriptures like the Matsyapurana\, Agnipurana\, and Skandapurana\, its genesis dates back to the 6th century during the Kalachuri dynasty’s reign\, marked by the construction of its citadel. The intricate caves\, likely hewn around the 11th century\, enshrine statues of Lord Vishnu. Despite bearing names like Taramati and Rohidas\, the cliffs hold no connection to Ayodhya. \nIn the 14th century\, the eminent sage Changdev\, renowned for composing the epic Tatvasaar\, found solace in meditation here\, alongside the creation of the caves. The fort and its environs exhibit a tapestry of diverse cultures through various constructions. Noteworthy are the carvings adorning Nageshwar temple in Khireshwar village\, the Harishchandreshwar temple\, and the Kedareshwar cave\, indicating the fort’s medieval heritage. Associated with Mahadev\, a totem of the Mahadev Koli tribe\, who held sway over the fort preceding the Mughals\, Harishchandragad later fell under Mughal dominion until its capture by the Marathas in 1747. \nItinerary: \nSaturday 22th June:9.00 pm: Start from Pune2.00 am: Reach Base Village Pachnai \nSunday 23rd June:Freshen Up and get ready for Trek2.30 am: Start trek to Harishchandra Gad5.30 am: Reach Kokankada Top6.15 am: Reach Taramati Peak to Enjoy Beautiful Sunrise8.00 am: Breakfast & tea on fortExplore Kokankada and surrounding and Photography11:00 am: Start Descent01:00 pm: Reach Base\, Lunch02:30 pm: Starts return journey and08.00 pm: Reach Pune \nFees: Rs.1499/- Only \nIncludes:1. SUMMARY:BM Kalsubai Trek - Highest Peak of Maharashtra - 22 June 2024
DESCRIPTION:Category: TrekkingLocation: BariDuration: 1 Night & 1 DayDifficulty: Medium \nBatch Dates – • 01st Batch – 23 June 2024• 02nd Batch – 07th July 2024• 03rd Batch – 21st July 2024 \n• Event Fees: ₹1399/- (IMP Note – According to your booking registration\, seats will be allocated in the bus in order) \n• ABOUT KALASUBAI –Kalsubai has its towering height of 5400ft\, recognized as the highest peak of Maharashtra. It is situated on Kalsubai mountain range which is an offshoot range from the main Sahyadri range and rung from west to east. The name of this mountain range has been derived from the name of Kalsubai peak itself. This entire range is amazing from the trekking point of view. Though small in length\, this range has some of the tallest peaks and toughest forts. Starting from west to east this range contains Kulang\, Madan\, Alang forts. The top of Kalsubai peak gives an excellent view of all these forts. Kalsubai\, though a highest peak\, from a trekking point of view it is easy. The peak has a temple and to visit this temple many people trek to the top. So for the sake of such pilgrim trekkers\, the government and local villagers have made the route easy and safe by putting ladders and staircases wherever necessary. So reaching to the top is just a test of your stamina and not mountaineering skill.
