SUMMARY:Mountaineers Association Dombivli trek to Rajgad and Torna Saturday\, January 17th 2026 - 17 January 2026
DESCRIPTION:Mountaineers Association Dombivli.\n\n\n\nThat looks like a challenging but rewarding trek! This flyer is for a combined trek to Rajgad and Torna\, two of the most iconic hill forts in Maharashtra\, organized by the Mountaineers Association Dombivli. \nHere are the details extracted from the flyer: \n\nTrek Overview\n\n\nDestinations: Rajgad Fort & Torna Fort \n\n\nBase Villages: Gunjavane / Velhe \n\n\nHeight: * Rajgad: 4\,514 ft \n\n\nTorna: 4\,603 ft \n\n\n\n\nType: Hill Fort \n\n\nDifficulty Grade: Difficult \n\n\n\nImportant Dates\n\n\nTrek Dates: Saturday\, January 17th & Sunday\, January 18th\, 2026 \n\n\nLast Date for Confirmation: January 11th\, 2026 \n\n\n\nCost & Inclusions\n\n\nTrek Cost: ₹2\,400 per person \n\n\nWhat’s Included: \n\n\nTransport from Dombivli to Velhe and back. \n\n\nVegetarian Meals: Breakfast (BF)\, Lunch\, and Dinner. \n\n\nExpertise charges. \n\n\nGuide\, Insurance\, First Aid\, and Equipment. \n\n\n\n\n\nContact Information\nTo register or ask questions\, you can contact: \n\n\nSatish Gaikwad: 9833195830 \n\n\nDilip Bhagat: 9820775354 \n\n\nBhushan: 9326308228 \n\n\n1. Itinerary & Sequence\nMost groups prefer starting with Rajgad because it offers better camping facilities (temples and plateaus) and then traversing the ridge to Torna on the second day. \n\n\nPickup from Dombivli: Usually occurs between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM on Friday night (Jan 16th) to reach the base village by dawn. \n\n\nDay 1 (Saturday): \n\n\nReach Gunjavane/Pali (Base of Rajgad) around 4:30 AM – 5:30 AM. \n\n\nAscend Rajgad\, explore the massive Machis (Suvela\, Sanjeevani) and the Balekilla (highest point). \n\n\nStay: Overnight camping on Rajgad Fort or in the village between the two forts. \n\n\n\n\nDay 2 (Sunday): \n\n\nEarly morning start for the Rajgad-Torna Ridge. This is a long\, 5–7 hour walk. \n\n\nReach Torna\, explore the Budhla Machi and Zunjar Machi. \n\n\nDescend to Velhe village by late afternoon. \n\n\nBoard the bus to return to Dombivli (typically reaching by 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM). \n\n\n\n\n\n2. Fitness & Gear\nThe “Difficult” grade isn’t about rock climbing\, but rather endurance. You will be walking roughly 15–18 km over two days with significant elevation changes. \n\n\nFitness Requirement: You should be comfortable walking for 6+ hours with a backpack. If you haven’t exercised recently\, try some stair climbing or long walks this week to prep your legs. \n\n\nHighly Recommended Gear: \n\n\nTrekking Poles: Highly recommended. They reduce the impact on your knees by nearly 25%\, which is crucial for the steep descent from Torna. \n\n\nShoes: Do not wear flat sneakers. You need trekking shoes with deep “lugs” (grooves) for grip on the scree (loose rocks). \n\n\nTorch/Headlamp: Mandatory for the early morning start. \n\n\n\n\n\n3. Packing List (Overnight & Winter)\nSince you are trekking in mid-January\, the temperature on the fort can drop to 10°C or lower at night. \n\n\nFor the Cold: \n\n\nA lightweight fleece jacket or a down jacket. \n\n\nWoolen cap (Beanie): Crucial\, as most body heat is lost through the head. \n\n\nA thin pair of thermals (can be used as pajamas). \n\n\n\n\nFor the Stay: \n\n\nSleeping Bag or Mat + 2 Heavy Bedsheets: Check if the organizers are providing tents/mats. If not\, a sleeping bag is your best friend. \n\n\nPersonal Hygiene: Small towel\, wet wipes (water is scarce on top)\, and sanitizer. \n\n\n\n\nFood & Water: \n\n\nWater: At least 3 liters (carry a hydration bladder or 2-3 bottles). \n\n\nEnergy: Glucose/ORS packets\, dates\, nuts\, and energy bars for the ridge walk.

DESCRIPTION:Winter. Water. Wheels. Togetherness. As the year slows down and the roads feel quieter\, we ride — not to escape time\, but to close it well. Year-End Miles is the Musafirs Motorcycle Club’s Annual Camping Ride\, a gathering built on calm miles\, shared warmth\, and the belief that the best rides are always ridden together. \nThis winter motorcycle ride takes us to a brand-new camping destination near Mumbai\, just ~125 kms from Thane and 200 Kms from Pune \, set beside a peaceful water body. The route is easy\, scenic\, and meant to be enjoyed — ridden at a comfortable pace\, with disciplined group riding and the Musafirs promise that no one is ever left behind. \nThis is the one ride every year where the circle opens wide. Musafirs members\, friends\, families\, first-time riders\, and seasoned motorcyclists — all are welcome. Come on a motorcycle\, car\, or even a cycle. Because at Musafirs\, the machine doesn’t matter as much as the mindset. \nWhen the riding ends\, the camping begins. Expect winter camping by the water\, crisp air\, open skies\, and evenings that slow down naturally. BBQ on the grill\, a warm campfire\, live music\, and conversations that run longer thanplanned — the kind of moments that stay with you long after the tents are packed up. \nWho Should Join This RideMotorcycle riders of all experience levels \nFriends and families of Musafirs \nFirst-timers looking for a relaxed\, guided group ride \nAnyone who values community\, safety\, and shared experiences \nWhat to ExpectA relaxed year-end motorcycle ride near Mumbai \nSafe\, structured group riding — the Musafirs way \nA serene camping location beside a water body \nWinter camping vibes\, BBQ\, campfire\, and live music \nA welcoming\, inclusive\, family-friendly atmosphere \nThis annual ride is our reminder of what matters most — memories over miles\, people over machines\, and riding with intention rather than ego. \nIt’s the perfect full stop to the riding year\, before we roll into a milestonemoment — the 200th Musafirs Ride & Anniversary Ride\, scheduled for 23rd–26th January 2026. \nBlock the dates and your slot \, Register now..!!Come be part of the journey \, because with The Musafirs\, we ride for the ride. \nInterested?Call the crew or our lead to check if slots are available (Shona: 9821178718;Brijesh aka Birju : 9082443156) and just to have a chat; then register for the ride. \nLimited Spots Available—Register Now!
