SUMMARY:Meghalaya & Kaziranga National Park Backpacking Trip (5N/6D) - 2 December 2023
DESCRIPTION:Meghalaya Backpacking tour (5N / 6D) \nImagine yourself as being in clouds all time\, lush greenery in your feet and white clouds above your head; this is the beauty of Meghalaya. \nMeghalaya\, known as “Scotland of the East “and meaning as “Abode of Clouds” is the best place to be the name on your flight tickets. Meghalaya is deeply enriched with every element that a traveler looks for. It has numerous temples for those who seek peace. It has lush green forests\, valleys\, waterfalls for trekking enthusiasts and young peeps. It has long roads for bike riding. \nCleanest village in Asia is the pride of Meghalaya which should be visited by every Indian\, rather Asian\, to take an example of cleanliness. A different natural beauty exists in Meghalaya which has bridges\, one of the most known is Living root bridge which is enough to keep a person there only due to its enchanting beauty. \nIf Meghalaya has this much beauty\, why not lets visit this place and explore each point that this God gifted place has to offer. Those who visit it will surely say that it’s not the Scotland of the East; in fact Scotland is the “Meghalaya of the west”. \nOV brings a backpacking tour to Meghalaya covering Guwahati\, Shillong\, Kaziranga National Park\, Cherrapunji and Dawki & Mawlynnong. \nTour Itinerary: 5N/6D \nDate: 2 to 7 Dec 2023 \nDay 01: Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Shillong (100 kms / 3 hrs.)On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong (4\,900 ft.)\, called ‘Scotland of the East” (100 kms 3 hrs.). Enroute visit Umium Lake\, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong\, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong. \nDay 02: Excursion to Cherrapunji (60 kms / 2 hrs.)After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunji (4\,400 ft.)\, the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong\, en-route visit Elephanta falls . Overnight stay at Mawlynnong. \nDay 03: Mawlynnong + Dawki (Indo Bangladesh Border)After early breakfast \, Explore Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Overnight stay at Shillong. \nDawki: The last town in Mawlynnong\, Dawki lies but 2 Kms from Bangladesh. Despite the fact that the area is located in a place that has been for years demanding development\, one is amazed by the quality of the roads\, and the road to Dawki perhaps epitomizes the idyllic hill drive. The black metaled road\, offset by the rich\, wet green and dark red-brown patches offered a smooth contrast that technology can scarcely capture. The cool\, wet air brushes over your face and refreshes and revitalizes you as it enters your body. Dawki is a small village and its main attraction is the Umngot River that marks the natural separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills. The river can be forded by a suspension bridge that connects India to Bangladesh and facilitates trade between the two nations. The Umngot is the site for a boat race that is held in March-April\, but even otherwise\, seeing this large emerald-green serpent threading its way through the hills\, with fishermen’s boats dotting its surface\, right into the plains of Bangladesh\, is a sight whose majesty echoes long after you leave it. Then back to Shillong. Check into the hotel & rest. Overnight stay at Shillong. \nDay 04: Shillong Sightseeing – Kaziranga(250 kms / 5 hrs.)After breakfast move to Kaziranga national park for a wonderful Jeep safari / elephant safari and enjoy the wildlife. Night stay at Kaziranga. \nDay 05: Kaziranga Local Sightseeing This day\, we suggest taking a local sightseeing tour to Kaziranga area and coming back to Guwahati for night stay. \nDay 06: Guwahati Local Sightseeing + Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly StationAfter breakfast and check out\, visit Kamakhya Temple\, Regional Science Centre and Sukreswar Temple (The 6th Jyotirlinga of Shiva). After meal\, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey. \nPlaces to cover:•	Shillong•	Guwahati•	Kaziranga National Park•	Cherrapunji•	Dawki & Mawlynnong \nNight halts: Shillong\, Mawlynnong\, Kaziranga\, Guwahati \nSightseeing: \nShillong Sightseeing locations:•	Umium Lake•	Wards lake•	Shillong Peak•	Elephant Falls•	Air Force Museum \nGuwahati Sightseeing:•	Kamakhya Temple•	Sukreswar Temple ( if time permits) \nCherrapunji Sightseeing:•	Mawkodokh Valley•	Green Valley•	Wahkabah Falls•	Nohkalikai Falls•	Seven sisters’ falls•	Mawsmai Cave \nDawki & Mawlynnong Sightseeing: •	Asia’s Cleanest Village•	India – Bangladesh Border•	Dawki River•	Living Root Bridge•	Balancing Rock \nKaziranga Sightseeing:•	Kaziranga Jeep Safari•	Tea State•	Cultural Night Show ( if reach there on time) \nInclusions: \n•	Accommodation double / Triple Sharing Basis in Hotels / Home stays•	Breakfast on all days during tour•	Travel in Meghalaya & Cherrapunji by Private vehicle •	Pickup and drop from and to Guwahati Airport•	All permits and toll taxes required during tour•	Kaziranga National park Jeep Safari charges (one-time)•	Guide at every sightseeing spot (Guide charges included)•	All Permits \nExclusions: \n• Personal Expenses like Entry charges\, Telephone\, Fax\, Internet\, Laundry\, etc.• Any Extra Meals (Dinner\, Lunch).• Any extra excursions or sightseeing apart from the tour itinerary or run by union vehicle.• Anything is not mentioned in the inclusion. \nPrice:Rs. 22000/- per person (group discount available for 5 + people \, message or call us to know more ) \nNote: Visit to any place is purely subjected to the place being open\, available to visit and climatic conditions. SUMMARY:Kalsubai Trek from Pune - 2 December 2023
DESCRIPTION:Kalsubai Peak Trek from PuneThe Kalsubai Peak is a trek that offers natural surroundings from waterfalls and forests to grasslands. The highest peak of the state of Maharashtra at 5\,400 feet or 1646 meters above the sea level high provides breathtaking views across all of Bhandardara\, which is easily accessible via Pune. \nThe Kalsubai Temple is at the mountain`s peak\, and pilgrims from nearby villages come to take her blessings. It`s believed that a young village girl called Kalsubai lived in those hills. She used to cure villagers and animals and help with pursuits like agriculture. One day the girl left for the summit\, but nevermore returned\, so to remember her\, the villagers built this small temple on her home on the mountainside while the main temple was built on the mountain`s peak. \nBook now – treksandtrails.org/tours/kalsubai-trek-from-pune \nKalsubai Trek Event DetailsKalsubai Trek Difficulty Level Medium Kalsubai Trek Endurance Level HighBase Village Kalsubai Trek – BariMinimum Required – 6 paxRegion: Igatpuri / BhandardaraTotal time required for climbing Kalsubai Peak 4 hours one wayDuration 1 Night 1 DayClimbing Kalsubai Trek Distance 5.5 km one wayKalsubai Peak Height 1646 meters or 5400 feet above sea levelHighest Peak of Maharashtra Kalsubai Peak in feet 5400 feetLocated in Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife SanctuaryCost: Rs. 1\,399/- per personCost: Rs. 699/- per person (Without Transport) \nKalsubai Monsoon Trek Itinerary \nDay Zero 07:45 pm – Meet us at McDonald`s\, Deccan.08:00 pm – Move towards base village. 08:20 pm – Pick up at New Shivaji nagar bus stop. 08:40 pm – Pick up at Nashik Phata. \nDay One03:00 am – Reach Bari village.
