DESCRIPTION:Dates: Choose your dates \nSeason: Nov to Feb only \nExperience the magic of the Antarctic Peninsula\, home to dramatic ice formations and towering peaks. Enjoy guided Antarctica tours through icy waters\, spot humpback whales breaching in the distance\, and witness massive glaciers calving into the ocean. For the ultimate adventure\, consider kayaking in Antarctica\, camping on ice\, or even taking a polar plunge into the frigid Southern Ocean. \nDay 1: Reach Buenos Aires\, capital of Argentina.Rest to overcome the jet lag of long flight. \nDay 2:Take a short flight to Puerto Iguazú\, located at the junction of three countries. We will watch the sunset at the tripoint. Watch the famous Rafain Churrascaria\, which is a show of flavor and cultures in South America. \nDay 3: Explore the Iguazu falls\, one of the largest waterfall system of the world. Take a raft to get closer to the falls.Overnight flight from Iguazú to Ushuaia \nDay 4: In the morning \, reach Ushuaia airport which is surrounded by ocean on three sides. Rest for some time and then explore the quaint town. We can go for a scenic ride in Southern Fuegian Railway. \nDay 5:We start a cruise in the afternoon. In the evening we sail along the famous Beagle Channel and the scenic Mackinlay Pass. \nDay 6 and 7:We cross the Drake Passage. The first sightings of icebergs and snow-capped mountains indicate that we have reached the South Shetland Islands\, a group of twenty islands and islets. \n Day 8 to 11:We will navigate some of the most beautiful waterways (depending on the ice conditions): the Gerlache Strait\, the Neumayer Channel\, and the Lemaire Channel\, the latter are narrow passages between towering rock faces and spectacular glaciers. We plan to make at least two landings per day \nDay 12 & 13:We cross the Drake Channel (northbound). As we return from the Antarctica expedition\, you can learn about navigation and watch for whales. A full program of lectures will be offered \nDay 14:We arrive at the port of Ushuaia in the early morning and disembark after breakfast.
