DESCRIPTION:*PARVAT BUDDIES:* One Day Trek to ‘Sukkhaa’ Waterfall on 24th Sept 2023 (Sunday). \n*Some Info about the place:*This is an Unexplored Waterfall near Karjat. Many refer to it as a secret waterfall\, but the tribals call it ‘Sukka/Sukkhaa dhabdhaba’. This gigantic waterfall – a gem hidden between the hills and jungles\, takes about 3 hrs of trekking to reach. \n*Grade:* Moderate*Endurance:* Medium*Terrain:* Mostly flat but slightly slippery trail and a minor incline towards the end. \n*Why PARVAT BUDDIES?*Extensive painstaking preparations have been carried out by our team of experienced leaders in planning and organising this trek for you. Our leaders are well versed with the terrain and have a trekking experience of about a decade in the Sahyadri. Your safety is our prime goal so rest assured that we will take good care of you during the trek. Our USP is that we prefer to trek in small sized groups so as to have a better bonding and interaction among our participants. The average group size of our events is around 15 people making our events much more enjoyable and memorable. We maintain a reasonable Leader to Participant ratio which is about 1:10 on an average. We also have a good number of female participants joining our events. On an average around 40% of our participants in the past have been females\, proving that we are a gender friendly group. Wherever feasible\, we try our best to arrange private transport from Mumbai for your comfort. We always carry a basic first aid kit with us. DESCRIPTION:Monsoon Trek Kalsubai | Mumbai Mountain Hikers \nKalsubai peak height is 1646 meter (5400 feet). Kalsubai is Highest peak of Western Ghat/Sahayadri.  It is also known as Everest of Maharashtra. Various peak are situated around Kalsubai like the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej\, Harihargad\, Brahmagiri\, Anjaneri\, Ghargad\, Bahula\, Tringalwadi\, Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha\, Vishramgad\, Bitangad\, to the west Alang\, Madangad\, Kulang\, Ratangad (south west) and to the south Pabhargad\, Ghanchakkar\, Harishchandragad can be seen. \nThe peak attracts a large number of trekkers and devotees determined to scale the mountain. To reach the summit there are well designated trekking routes. The trek route is a mix of easy to ascend slopes as well as treacherous rocky outcrops overlooking the valley below. The government has built iron ladders along the vertical hill slopes. The ancient carvings\, which are seen on the walls of the cave\, remind us of the Satvaahan period. Here we find inscriptions in Brahmi script all over the cave. These indicate the magnificent era of the Satvaahans and their generosity. These inscriptions are gradually being destroyed\, and only a part of it is remaining. The inscriptions are very precious\, and are undergoing destruction due to the negligence of Archeology.The widely spread plateau of Naneghat is an astonishment. To the left the steps besides the cave lead us to the plateau and going to the right lead us to Nana’s thumb. After climbing all the way to the bottom of the thumb\, when we climb the stairs\, we do not expect a big plateau. Thus this route leads directly to a higher altitude quickly\, unlike Malshej Ghat\, which goes all around the mountains.
