DESCRIPTION:HAMTAPASS WITH CHANDRATAL TREK \nHamta Pass is one of the most amazing treks for beginners to Himalayan trekking. The pass has been a very old trade route\, connecting Lahaul’s Chandra Valley and Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh\, India. The trek also offers a contrast from the lush green valley of Kullu to the dry and arid valley of Spiti. The visit to Chandratal Lake completes another satisfying element in terms of view to the trek. \nDuration: 9D / 8N  Date: 24 June to 2 July (Sat – Sun)Height: 14\,500 ftLevel: Moderate to DifficultAge group: Open \nItinerary: Day 1: Pune – Delhi – Manali (Rumsu base camp) Departure to Delhi from Pune. Reach Delhi by afternoon. Board the bus for Manali at 4 or 5 pm. Overnight Journey to Patlikuhal\, 20 kms before Manali.Bus type : Volvo AC semi-sleeperAlternately participants can also take a train 1 day prior from Pune and reach Delhi by afternoon\, and board the bus from there to Manali. \nDay 2: Reporting at Rumsu [Manali] Basecamp (6\,600 ft)Overnight Journey from Delhi to reach Pathlikula early morning & head towards Rumsu which is the base camp.This will be a rest day. Breakfast will be served in the dining hall\, followed by the registration\, documentation and tent/room allocation. An orientation will be given to the participants. Post Lunch a short acclimatization walks to the Pulag Village\, followed by an Ice Breaking session. Dinner and night stay at the base. \nDay 3: Ride to Hamta Dam and Trek to Chikka\, Alt. 9\,500 ft Commence the day with a jeep ride for Hamta Dam\, the starting point of the trek. The trek to Chikka starts from the Dam and takes around 2-3 hours to complete it. Chikka represents one of the most majestic experiences of river side camping surrounded by huge mountains and waterfalls. Overnight stay in tents at Chikka. \nDay 4: Chikka to Balu ka Ghera\, Alt. 11\,900 ftCommence the trek by 7 AM for Balu Ka Ghera camp after breakfast. The initial part of the trek goes through the bank of the river crossing a few rock boulders followed by a river crossing. The trek happens to be a moderate level as it goes above tree line scaling to an altitude of 11\,900 feet. Balu ka Ghera is a large plain on the bank of the river and camping at this spot is a dream in reality. One can spot Indrasan\, the highest peak of Manali valley from here. Overnight stay in tents at Balu Ka Ghera Camp. \nDay 5: Balu Ka Ghera to Shia Goru via Hamta Pass Alt. 14\,200 ft Start early by 4 am for the pass to take advantage of hard snow. The trek starts with a moderate climb for 4 hrs until one reaches the Pass at 14\,000 ft. The aerial views of Spiti valley from Hamta Pass are quite breath-taking. The descent from the pass falls steep and takes around 4 hours to reach Shia Goru Camp (12\,800 ft). Overnight stay in tents at Shia Goru. \nDay 6: Shia Goru to Chatru. Alt. 10\,900 ftThe day starts after morning breakfast for Chatru and takes around 3 hours. Once at Chatru\, after some hot lunch\, continue with a jeep ride (3 hrs.) for Chandratal. Chandratal at 14\,280 feet never fails to impress one from its stunning beauty and the view of the amazing mountain landscapes surrounding it. Ride back to Chatru for overnight stay.	 \nDay 7: Chatru to Manali via Atul tunnel.Start the day in a bit of a relaxed way\, for we would be left with just a ride to take us back to Manali. -The ride from Chatru to Gramphoo falls off-road followed by the traverse through the famous Atal Tunnel to Manali. We check in to a hotel/homestay in Manali. Overnight in Manali \nDay 8: Solang valley\, Hadimba temple and Manali This day is free for participants to explore Manali and do activities as per their choice. Visit Solang valley\, visit Hadimba temple or explore local market in Manali\, all is possible. Members can board their bus from Manali Volvo stand at 5 pm. Overnight journey to Delhi. Depart with beautiful memories. \nDay 9: Delhi Pune travelReach Delhi by morning. Members should book flights post 2 pm just to have enough time in case the bus gets late due to traffic conditions. By evening reach Pune. \nCost: Rs 15500/- pp \nIncludes:Transport: * Delhi – Manali – Delhi Volvo* Vehicle from Manali to basecamp* Transport from Basecamp to Manali. \nAccommodation :* Stay will be in tents on triple sharing basis and separate tents will be allotted for Male and Female participants.* Homestay or Hotel in Manali for 1 night on 2 or 3 sharing depending on group size. \n* Rucksack: A 60 litre bag with rain cover is provided for use during the trek. DESCRIPTION:Monsoon Trek Ratangad Fort | Mumbai Mountain Hikers \nRantangad Fort is located in Ahamadnagar district. Rantangad Fort base village is Ratanwadi. Rantangad Fort is about 400 years old. Rantangad Fort was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosle. Rantangad Fort is also known as Jewels of fort. Rantangad Fort is on the boundary of Ahmadnagar and Thane districts. The fort is origin for the river Pravara/Amrutvahini. The Bhandardara dam (arthar dam) is built on this river. From the top of the fort neighboring forts like Alang\, kulang\, Madan gad\, Harishchandragad\, Patta are seen easily. The view of entire Bhandardara dam( Lake Arthur) gives sheer pleasure. There are many rock cut water cisterns on the fort. Some of them store potable water throughout the year. There is a natural hole in the mountain top probably caused by wind erosion. It is 10 feet high and 60 feet wide.
