About Velas Turtle Fest:
Maharashtra is blessed with 720 km long coastline. Shared with Konkan, Thane, and Ratnagiri also Sindhudurg districts. Many marine creatures come to visit. However, the exact count and type are unknown. As from what is believed there is not a detailed study available. In the year 2000-01, it was found that a species of turtle, Olive Ridley is a prominent visitor to the shores of Maharashtra for breeding purposes. Other species are the Green Turtle, Hawksbill and the Leatherback. A lot of the other information is already available online, like what do turtles eat, how a turtle looks like. The difference between a turtle, tortoise and a terrapin.
Itinerary : –
Day 1 : 18th April
6:30 am -Meet at Sarasbaug near Harjeevan Hospital and Travel to Velas by Non AC bus
• Have Breakfast on Enroute and Visit Bankot fort
• Explore the fort and enjoy the View.
Freshen up and Enjoy the local flavor Veg Lunch and rest
• Visit Velas beach in the evening to see Turtle hatchlings and enjoy Sunset
• Enjoy group Games and shares travel experiences
• Dinner (Veg / Non Veg) and retire for the day
Day 2 : 19th April
• Wake up early by 5:30 am and freshen up
• Visit Velas Beach to see Turtle HaHatchlingsl
• Have lunch (veg Lunch)
• Start return journey to Pune.
Cost : 3050/- per person.
Last Date of Registration :- 16th April📅
Self transport*
Kids 4-8 yrs : Rs 1900/- per kid.
Adults (all above 8 yrs): INR 2200/- per adult.
