Velas is a coastal village which falls in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
The place is well known for its be aches which reflect nature in its best preserved and pristine form.
Besides Velas beach, here are several other tourist attractions at Velas including the Bankot Fort and the Harihareshwar Temple.
However, of lately, Velas has been attracting tourists more for its Velas turtle festival maharashtra than anything else.
Hundreds of Olive Ridley Turtles, one of the most treasured species of marine turtles, come ashore at Velas beach for breeding and lay hundreds of eggs.
Velas is also the birthplace of Nana Phadnis, one of the prominent personalities in Maratha history.
Bankot Fort is located on a prominent and commanding point for guarding the trade route along the Savitri River, which runs till,
Mahad which was a busy route in medieval times.It is a fort located on a hill near the sea.
The fort is one of the few structures in India that have a memorial for a British officer.
The triangular memorial you see is by Sir Arthur Mallet, for his wife and daughter, who died in a ferry accident in the Savitri River.
The Fort was ruled by Portuguese,Adilshahi & Marathas.
Harihareshwar Temple complex has two adjacent temples.
The smaller Kalbhairav temple is expected to be visited first, before entering the main Harihareshwar temple housing an ancient Shiva Linga.
A pradakshina route goes around the temple, along the sea shore.

=> If organizers cancel the event then full amount will be refunded.
=> If participant cancels then Rs.1500 will be refundable from total amount.
=> If confirmed replacement is provided then full amount will be refundable.

Schedule –
Day 0 : Friday 14th April 2023
-Bus will leave from Borivali (Axis Bank near National Park on Western Express Highway) by 9 pm.
Day 1 : Saturday 15th April 2023
-Reach Velas by 6 am and freshen up
-Visit to velas beach for turtle hatching
-Return to home stay and have a breakfast
-Visit to Bankot fort
-Return to home stay and have a lunch and take rest
-Visit to velas beach for turtle hatching
-Return to home stay and have a dinner & good night
Day 2 : Sunday 16th April 2023
-Wake up call at 6 am.
-Visit to velas beach for turtle hatching
-Return to home stay and have a breakfast
-Leave Velas and proceed to Harihareshwar
-Harihareshwar Darshan
-After lunch leave for Mumbai
-We will return to Mumbai by Sunday 9 pm.

-Turtle hatching is a natural process. we can’t guarantee their sighting.
– Please avoid treks, camping and other outdoor activities if you have any health related issues. Do it if you are fit enough. Organizers will not be responsible for any unfortunate event.
-Tour Leaders reserves the right to change the format of the event.
-Carrying or consuming alcohol and addictive stuffs are strictly prohibited during tour. If caught, you will be expelled from group without any further discussions or refund.
-Please avoid treks, camping and other outdoor activities if you have any health related issues. Do it if you are fit enough. Organizers will not be responsible for any unfortunate event.
-Do not carry valuable,unnecessary things for tour.
-Do not go to any risky place , you should follow rules set by organizers. Organizers will not be responsible for any loss during tour.
