About Velas Turtle Festival:
Velas, a coastal village in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district, is renowned for its pristine beaches and the annual Turtle Festival. Organized by the local community along with Sahyadri Nisarg Mitra, Chiplun, this festival offers a rare opportunity to witness the hatching of Olive Ridley turtles. The hatching season typically lasts from February to April.

Day 0: Friday – 27th March
9:30 PM – Depart from Pune in a private 20-seater AC Tempo Traveler
Day 1: Saturday – 28th March
5:00 AM – Arrive at Velas
5:30 AM – Freshen up & get ready
6:00 AM – Visit Velas Beach for turtle hatching
8:00 AM – Breakfast
10:00 AM – Depart for Bankot Fort
11:00 AM – Explore Bankot Fort
1:30 PM – Enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch
5:30 PM – Evening visit to Velas Beach for turtle hatching & sunset
