About Vikatgad Fort Trek :
Fort Peb, also known as Vikatgad is situated at a distance of 3-4 km on the west side of Neral. This is one of the most beautiful one-day treks near Mumbai, especially in monsoon. To avoid the crowd at hill stations like Matheran, nature lovers must visit this fort. The fort derives its name from the Goddess ‘Pebi’; The fort is also named as ‘VikatGad’ for its supposed shape of the Elephant Headed God, ‘Ganesh’. Historical references indicate that Shivaji Maharaj used the caves on the fort as silos for grain storage.

Itinerary:
07:30 am Gather outside the Neral station. (our trek leader would be waiting for you all.)
07:45 am Time to grab some healthy breakfast
08:00 Leave foe Dasturi Naka via Sharing Taxi.
08:30 am Buckle up your shoes to start the trek.
11:00 pm Reach the top and have your lunch. Capture some pictures to store it as a memory.
12:00 pm Its time to start descending.
02:00 pm Reach Dasturi Naka
02:30 pm Catch Sharing taxi to Neral
03:00 pm Tour Concludes with Happy Memories

Things to Carry:
1) Id Proof Compulsory.
2) Lunch / Dinner as per schedule.
3) Water Bottle (2 Liters Compulsory).
4) Torch with extra pair of battery.
5) Electoral Powder / Energy bars / Dry Snacks. (dry fruits. biscuits, plum cakes, etc)
6) Good grip quality trekking shoes – Must. (Please check soles of your shoes and get them to stitched if necessary)
7) Personal Medication / First Aid kit.
8) Toiletries (Napkin, face-wash, tissue paper, etc.).
9) Cap, goggles, sunscreen, moisturizer, mosquito repellent, etc. (as per season)
10) Proper Backpack to carry all these things. (No handbags, duffle bag or jholas)
11) Camera. (Optional)
12) Rain-wear (Jacket / Ponchos ) or Winter wear. (Jackets, warmers or sweaters) – (as per season)
13) Carry your glass, bowl, spoon, and plate. (if necessary)
14) Extra Pair of Clothes. (as per schedule)
15) Sleeping bag/mat/bed-sheet. (as per schedule)
16) Slippers. (optional – at the end of day/trek so that your feet can relax)

Cancellation Policy:
1) 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 8 or more days before the event date.
2) 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 4 to 7 days before the event date.
3) No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days before the event date.
4) No show or changes/cancellation due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable.
5) The applicable refund will be settled within 7 to 10 business days after the cancellation request is approved.
