SURVIVORS Have Organized a Trek + Camping at “Konkankada HARISHCHANDRAGAD” On 10th – 11th DEC 2022 Saturday, Sunday
Short Information:
Harishchandragad is a beautiful hill fort in the Malshej region and a very popular trekking destination in the western ghats. The fort mountain along with, TOLAR KHIND, MALSHEJ GHAT offers a lot for trekkers. The main attraction here is the KONKAN KADA which offers a spectacular view of Konkan. During the rainy season you’d be walking in the clouds on this fort.
Major Attractions:
KEDARESHWAR CAVE – This temple is marvelous example of the fine art of carving sculptures out of stones that prevailed in ancient India. The river Mangal Ganga is said to originate from one of the tanks located close to the temple.
KONKAN KADA – A huge cliff at Harishchandragad which offers spectacular view of Konkan and also the sunset.
OTHER CAVES – There are many caves on this fort.
KEDARESHWAR CAVE: In this cave there is a Shivlinga which is surrounded by ice cold water. During rainy season this cave is not accessible as there’s lot of water in the surrounding area.
TARAMATI PEAK – Also known as Taramanchi. This is the topmost point on the fort. It is the 2nd highest peak in Maharashtra. Leopards are seen in the forests beyond this peak. From here we can have a glimpse of the whole range of Naneghat and the forts near Murbad.

Itinerary:
Day 0: Friday (09/12/2022)
11.30 pm – Meet at kasara station
Day 1: Saturday (10/12/2022)
00:30 am – Depart to Harishchandragad by a Private Vehicle
05:30 am – Reach Base village, Proceed for some rest and breakfast.
08:00 am – Enroute to Harishchandragad
13:00 pm – Reach Top, Explore Caves, Taramati Peak. Post Lunch Proceed to Visit Camp site “Kokankada”Enjoy Bonfire followed with Authentic Dinner and Retire in Tents
Day 2: Sunday (11/12/2022):
08:00 am – Wake Up Call. Breakfast & Tea.
09:00 am – Start Descending to Base Village
11:00 am – Reach Base village & Move towards Kasara.
16:00 pm – Reach Kasara Station.

Torch With spare battery
Bedding for the day.
A Water Bottle (~3 Ltrs) Mandatory
Cap, Good trekking shoes, a pair of extra clothes & socks (a must) Camera, Cell Phone, Binoculars (Optional) ON YOUR OWN RISK
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, Plate, Spoon, Mug Etc.
Carry atleast 2 Lemons, Glucon D, Odomos, Sunscreen etc.
Personal basic medical kit (Carry your routine medicines if any to avoid complications).
A haversack to put all these things (No handbags or jholas)
Note – Raw Material cooking purpose will be divided among all of us to take to top
RULES :
1. Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
2. Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding.
3. Survivors reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
4. Telephonic confirmation is mandatory, if unable to contact send us a text message.
5. Sleeveless, low neck, figure hugging shirts/tops, short pants, hot pants not allowed.
6. Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery (at your own risk)
7. Please do not carry handbags or Jholas or Sling bags. Payment made is non refundable and non transferable.
COVID -19 Checklist for Participants:
Any travel history to/from any foreign country/containment or red zone in the past 14 days
Any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 during the past 14 days
Age above 45 yrs participants are not allowed to join any events till further notice
Trekkers must carry sufficient amount of sanitizer, masks, gloves, and a personal medical kit for the respective days of the trek.
Trekkers must also carry their separate set of disposable/washable utensils like spoon, plates or cups. This must be used by trekkers during their journey to and fro the base camp.
Apart from the above, trekkers must make sure they carry all the required things, Remember no sharing will be allowed. Trekkers will be responsible for disposable of their own items.
COVID -19 Guidelines for Participants:
Mask is compulsory to join for any events
Keep at least 1 meter distance during all social and inter personal interactions, trekking
Avoid Touching frequently touched objects and surfaces with bare hands
Living with Corona is the new normal. We must learn to take care of ourselves. It is our responsibility to keep ourselves and our Nation safe from Corona. While doing that we must follow our dreams too.
Notes: Please keep in mind that we shall change our policies and procedures based on Government regulations in future. As you know, there can be last-minute announcements and we will have to follow them. However, we shall try to abide by the Government rules keeping in mind the welfare of our trekkers.
