Asawa Fort Trek
Boisar is an important city in Thane district. In ancient times, ports like Dahanu, Tarapur, Shristhanak / Sthanakiya Pattan (Thane), Kalyan (Kalyan) etc. were used for large scale trade. The cargo that landed at this port used to go to the country in different ways. Forts were built to guard and protect these routes. Asawa fort was built in ancient times on the roads connecting Dahanu and Tarapur ports to the country.
