Hike to Harishchandragad : The Pride of Maharashtra

Short Info:
Height: 2000 feet above MSL | Grade: Moderate | District: Ahmednagar | Region: Igatpuri
Base Village: Pachnai
Harishchandragad is one of the largest forts of Maharashtra. Strong fortifications of this fort have multiple entry routes. Most
difficult being Naali chi Vaat, Pachnai being the easiest. Other than these two routes Khireshwar, Taramati Gal, Makad naal,
Junnar Gate, Sadhale ghat, Indore route are the other routes. Total eight routes to reach the top.
Konkan Kada overlooks the Konkan region hence the name. Kada means cliff in Marathi. It is a standing tall natural wall that has
a concave structure. Because of this structure, you can experience many natural phenomena such as vertical cloud bursts,
circular rainbows also called a Broken spectre.
Harishchandreshwar temple is a glorious example of the fine art of carving sculptures. This temple has been carved out of a
single huge rock.

Catch Kasara slow local from nearest station
08:44 pm CSMT | 08:51 pm Byculla | 08:58 pm Dadar | 09:07 pm Kurla | 09:11 pm Ghatkopar
09:26 pm Thane | 09:42 pm Dombivli | 09:52 pm Kalyan |11:04 pm Kasara.
11:15 pm Meet Trek Leader at Kasara Railway Station.
11:30 pm Move towards the base village in by private local vehicle.

Day One
03:30 am Reach at base village.
Freshen up and start ascend
04:30 am Start ascending.
07:00 am Reach on top and explore. Visit Harishchandreshwar temple, Kedareshwar temple, Pushkarani, Caves.
07:30 am Breakfast
08:30 am Start trek towards Kokankada.
09:00 am Reach Kokankada and Enjoy your time at Kokankada.
10:00 am Start descending.
12:30 pm Reach base village and have your lunch.
02:00 pm start return journey towards Kasara.
06:00 pm Arrival at Kasara railway station and disperse.

5. All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like roadblocks, bad weather.
6. Any medical / Emergency evacuations if required.

Things to Carry:
1. 2/3 litres of water.
2. Sanitizer.
3. Trekking Shoes provide more grip and comfort on trek.
4. Good Torch must with extra battery.
5. Extra Pair of clothes.
6. Some Dry fruits / Dry Snacks / Energy Bars.
7. Glucon-D / ORS / Tang / Gatorade sachets.
8. One Day Backpack 20 to 30 litres.
9. Sun Cap and Sunscreen.
10. Personal First aid and Personal Medicine.
11. Identity Proof.
12. Please wear Full sleeves and Full Track Pant this will protect from Summer Sun / Thorns / Insects / Prickles.
13. Rain is expected, so pack your bags accordingly to save them from getting wet.
14. Double pack your valuables/phones/ extra pair of clothes in plastic bags.
15. Rainwear / Poncho / Waterproof jacket etc. if you don’t want to get wet.

Cancellation Policy:
1. 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 8 or more days prior to the event date.
2. 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 4 to 7 days prior to the event date.
3. No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days prior to the event date.
4. No show No Refund.
5. Seats cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
6. Seats cannot be transferred to another person against cancellation.
7. If Trek gets cancelled, we will refund Trek Amount only.
8. If the event is cancelled due to any natural calamity, political unrest or other such reasons beyond our control the same
cancellation policy will apply.

Traveler’s Tribe Rules:
1. Kindly carry one Identity proof.
2. We all are going for an adventurous and exciting trekking expedition; please Do Not misinterpret it as a PICNIC or
LEISURE TOUR.
3. The leader's decision will be final, and all the members should abide by it.
4. We do not destroy or dirty the archaeological, historical monuments, and natural habitat on the trek.
5. Swimming is not allowed in the lake or water tank on the forts. Locals use that water for drinking.
6. Putting your feet in water tanks or on the canon is not allowed on our treks.
7. Any addiction is strictly prohibited, e.g., drinking, smoking, chewing tobacco; anyone caught doing so will have to exit
the trek without a refund and travel back on own expense and risk.
8. People caught smoking or drinking alcohol will be asked to exit the event on an immediate basis.
9. Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewellery, etc. If carried, then we are not liable for the same.
10. Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking, or any adventure activity is potentially risky. For all these events, you are at your
own risk. Organisers are not responsible for any accident or compensation in whatsoever manner.
11. We should strictly follow the code of conduct to avoid troubling our fellow trekkers or other people from our group or
outside.
12. Listening to music on earphones or Bluetooth speakers is not allowed while trekking.
13. If you are late for the pickup and are not reachable on the phone during your pickup, the trek leader will leave without
you, and we will provide no refund.
14. Please check things to carry and wear trekking shoes on our treks.
15. If you damage the tent or break the tent poles, you will have to pay us for the whole new tent on MRP.
