Present
Hike to Kalavantin : The Most Dangerous Watchtower

Short Info:
Height: 2000 feet above MSL | Grade: Moderate | District: Panvel | Base Village: Prabalmachi

Kalavantin Fort is also known as the watchtower of the Maratha empire, thanks to its towering height. The dizzying climb to the
pinnacle of Kalavantin is a real challenge, because you will be negotiating tricky steps carved around a narrow rock structure.
The amazing rock-cut steps that zig-zag their way up the mountain to take you to the top of the fort. There’s no support to hold on
to, and the winds can get quite strong up here. One can get a panoramic view from the top, not to mention the thrill of an
exposed climb via the stairs. But you'll feel more alive than you have for a long time!
