Tour to Lonar Crater

Lonar Crater was created by a meteorite collision impact during the Pleistocene Epoch. It is the only crater in the world created in Basalt rock which is the hardest rock. It is Asia’s largest and world’s 3rd largest meteorite crater.

We, as Unnayan Tours are exploring Lonar Crater and around since 2009 as well as spreading awareness about the scientific, historical and astronomical aspects of Lonar Crater.

Depart from Mumbai CSMT by Devgiri Express (Train No. 17057) at 09:30 pm
20th Sept
Arrival at Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad) and proceed for Lonar (Approx 3 hrs / 140 km),
Explore Lonar Crater and around (including Motha Maruti, Dhar) with expert for entire day,
Night Stay at Hotel in Lonar Village,
(Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
21st Sept
Explore Daitya Sudan Temple with expert
After Lunch, proceed for Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad)
Enroute, Visit Sindkhed Raja – A birthplace of Jijabai and Balaji Temple at Mehkar
Depart for Mumbai by Devgiri Express (Train No. 17058) at 11:25 pm

Arrival at Mumbai CSMT at 7:10 am

Kindly note that to reach upto the water of Lonar Crater, we need to descend around 500 feet consisting steps and walking on a muddy road. People with high blood pressure, asthma should consult a doctor before joining this tour.

Payment Terms:
