Bhigwan, located around 100 km from Pune near the Ujani Dam backwaters on the Bhima River, is a premier bird-watching destination, often called the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra”. Famous for winter migratory birds—especially Greater Flamingos—the area is a massive wetland attracting over 230 bird species between December and March.
