Karjat is one of the favorite destinations for trekkers. This is a central location for trekkers to visit places like Rajmachi, Peth, Songir, Peb, Irshalgad, Bhivgad, Dhak and Bhimashankar. Sondai, a relatively less known popular fort is also within reach. This fort is a part of the Matheran range. Though it does not have any structural remnants, the scenic views it offers and the final 15ft of rock patch makes it a thrilling experience. This fort was supposedly built as a watch Tower.

We will start with the 06:10 AM CSMT – Karjat Fast Local (Time table given below)
06:10 AM – CSMT
06:18 AM – Byculla
06:24 AM – Dadar
06:31 AM – Kurla
06:35 AM – Ghatkopar
06:49 AM – Thane
07:05 AM – Dombivli
07:15 AM – Kalyan
08:08 AM – Karjat

People may board the same local from the station of their convenience and meet our team members at Kasara Station.

08:15 AM – Leave for Sondai Fort base village by local jeep.
08:30 AM – Reach base village and have Breakfast
09:00 AM – Start hiking towards the Sondai fort post introduction session.
10:30 AM – Reach top of the fort and explore.
11:00 AM – Start to descend
12:30 PM – Reach base village
01:00 PM – Have a lunch
02:00 PM – Start return journey towards Karjat station
02:45 PM – Reach Karjat and leave for Mumbai with good memories
