CAUTION – This trip is not meant for people with low tolerance to cold. We will be camping at temperatures 20 degrees below zero.
The Snow Leopard expedition is a week-long program tracking the ghost leopard. The snow leopards are highly elusive by nature. Spotting them is a relatively rare occurrence earning them the name, “Grey ghost of the Himalayas”. We will look out through the Hemis National Park, which has the highest number of snow leopards in the world. Here the temperatures drop down to bone chilling -20 degrees at night. The trails are often steep and the viewpoints are windy.
