Overview: Sikkim is a state in northeastern India, known for its picturesque landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The state is home to the Himalayan mountain range, which offers visitors the opportunity to explore diverse landscapes including snow-capped peaks, lush green valleys, and pristine lakes. Some popular tourist destinations in Sikkim include the capital city of Gangtok, which is known for its vibrant culture and bustling markets. Visitors can also explore the Pelling, which is known for its beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Additionally, the state is home to a variety of Buddhist monasteries and temples, including the famous Rumtek Monastery. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as trekking, hiking, and mountaineering.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Siliguri/Bagdogra to Gangtok
Meeting & greeting on arrival at Bagdogra airport & transfer to Gangtok ( Capital of Sikkim). On arrival check in to the hotel & rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 02: Excursion Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast drive for a memorable excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /39 km), one of the highest altitudes Himalayan Lake. After that, we will drive a further 15 km to Baba Mandir. Optional tour to Nathula pass towards china border depending upon the accessibility of the route. We will back to Gangtok by late afternoon. The evening is free for roaming around M.G Marg, the popular Shopping area in Gangtok.

Day 03: Gangtok to Lachen (120 kms. 5/6 hrs)
After an early breakfast, we will proceed to Lachen. En-route visit Shinghik & seven sister waterfall. We will have our lunch on the way. Visit Chungthang confluence. Reach Lachen in the late afternoon.
Overnight stay at lachen.
Day 04: Excursion Gurudongmar. Lachen to Lachung (50 km/ 2 hrs)
Early morning drive to Thangu Village (A remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads) and also proceed further to Chopta Valley (4000m / 13124ft) to get some breathtaking view of alpine valley of frozen rivers. From Chopta Valley drive for another 30kms to Gurudongmar Lake (5225m / 17143ft) close to Tibet Border. back to Lachen for a late lunch.

Day 05: Excursion to Yumthang – Gangtok (24 km./ Alt.- 11,800ft.)
Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley. Enjoy the scenic landscape and hot Spring and drive further for 30kms to Yumesamdong (4725M) or Zero Point close to Tibet Border, Enroute visit Sulphur Hot Spring. Lunch at hotel in Lachung. After lunch visit Handicraft Centre & Lachung Monastery. Later drive back to Gangtok, In the evening arrive at Gangtok and check into the hotel.
Overnight at a hotel in Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok local sightseeing (full day)
After breakfast, we will go to local sightseeing in Gangtok – Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, ropeway, Ranka monastery, Himalayan zoological park, do drill shorten stupa, Tashi view point. if time allow we will try to cover nearby waterfalls.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 07: Gangtok to Siliguri/Bagdogra (135 km. / 4/5
After breakfast drive back to Siliguri (NJP)/ Bagdogra.
