Overview/Itinerary
Sandhan Valley also known a valley of shadow, is one of the greatest canyons in the splendid setting of Sahyadri Western Ghats. The water-carved valley is 200 feet deep and about 1.5 km long. Sandhan Valley is located on the western side of beautiful Bhandardara region, near samrad village. The brilliant and deep narrow rock floored ravine is located between the two high walls of the mountain range. At some places, its width is less than 3ft and at some places, sun rays are unable to reach the ground. Which gives it the name : Valley of Shadows.
Sandhan Valley Itinerary:
Day 0- Friday Night
Board 10:50 pm CSTM to Kasara local
11:05 pm Dadar
11:18 pm Ghatkopar
11:30 pm Mulund
11:34 pm Thane
11:57 pm Dombivali
Day 1- Saturday
12:07 am Kalyan
01:18 am Kasara
01:30 am Gather at kasara station and leave for base village in pre-booking vehicles.
4:30 to 5 am will reach base village and take rest.
6:30 am Breakfast
7:00 am post breakfast, start full decend trek towards Sandhan Valley.
1:30 pm will have lunch after crossing rappelling patch.
4:30 pm Evening Tea
6:00pm rest and fresh up at campsite
8:30 pm Dinner & Night stay under open Sky in Tents.
9:30 pm Camp fire
Day 2- Sunday- Sandhan Valley Trek Route
6:30 am wakeup and have a hot Breakfast.
8:00 am Start walking towards Dehne village will reach by 10:30 am
10:30 am start towards Asangaon station through pre-booking vehicles
12:00 pm reach Asangaon station
Catch 12:56 CSTM local reach Thane by 2 pm
Trek Cost Rs.1,499/- per Person :
Cost includes :
1) Travel cost from Kasara Station to base village. 2 and half hr journey 110 km
2) Saturday village Breakfast.
3) Charges of Rappelling Equipment, expertise, Guide charges and Trek leader expertise.
4) Village lunch after Rappelling
5) Tent stay on Saturday night on sharing basis

Things to carry :
