About:
Vasota Fort is an ancient hill fort situated at an altitude of 1171 meters near Bamnoli in Satara district. The fort is situated in the deep forests and valleys of the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary. The Shivsagar Lake is on three sides of the Vasota Fort, which is on the lake’s edge

Vasota Fort is indeed a great starting point for a jungle trip. The view of the Sahyadri mountains, along with the surrounding forest, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls, is just stunning.

Nowadays, this region is a popular destination for treks and expeditions. This fort is considered difficult because the only way to reach the top is through the jungle. In addition to the natural beauty that surrounds the fort, the adventure of getting there is half the delight for visitors. Any visitor would be captivated by the natural splendour and charm of the area, and the local beauty would win them over.

Itinerary:
(Day 0): (24 Jan 2026)
9:00 pm – Meet at Chatrapati shivaji maharaj park (Dadar)
9:30 pm – Leave for the kaas.

(Day 1): (25 jan 2026)
05:30 am – Reach bamnoli & take rest
06:00 am – Freshen up.
06:30 am – Breakfast & introduction.
07:30 am – Move towards boating point.
08:00 am – Start boat ride for Met Indavali.
10:00 am – Reach Met Indavali.
10:30 am – Start ascend.
01:00 pm – Reach Vasota fort top & explore fort.
02:30 pm – Lunch. (Packed Lunch)
03:00 pm – Start descend.
05:00 pm – Reach at base and move towards Bamnoli by boat.
07:00 pm – Reach Bamnoli at campsite.
08:00 pm – Dinner.

(Day 2): (26 Jan 2026)
06:00 am – Wake-up call.
06:30 am – Freshen up.
07:30 am – Breakfast.
09:00 am – Start return journey alongwith Baramotyachi vihir.
Lunch on the way.
06:00 pm – Approx. arrival at Mumbai

•Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited at the time of trekking and camping

•No plastic littering

• Wear full sleeves, full tracksuit to avoid mosquito bite or leeches

•No jeans/ skirts/ skin tight clothes

•Proper footwear/ shoes are essential for trekking

•Conserve and preserve our heritage

•No deo/perfume. After trek it’s OK
