About the Trek:
Rajgad and Torna Forts are connected by a series of Sahyadri mountains range. Both the Forts are very important in the History of Maratha Kingdom. This is a range trek of approx. 5-6 hours. Post monsoon it’s one of the beautiful and scenic trek because the entire valley is full of different varieties of colourful flowers.
Rajgad Fort: literally meaning Royal Fort is one of the forts in the Pune district of Maharashtra state in India. The fort is around 1,400 m (4,600 ft) above sea level. Formerly known as Murumdev, it was capital of the Maratha Empire during the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for almost 26 years, after which he moved the capital to Raigad Fort. Treasure found at an adjacent fort was used to fortify this hill. The diameter of the fort at the base is 40 km (25 mi) making it difficult for anybody to lay siege to it, adding to its strategic value.
Torna Fort:
Torna Fort also known as Prachandagad is a large fort located in Pune district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is historically significant because it is the first fort captured by Shivaji Maharaj in 1643, at the age of 16 forming the nucleus of the Maratha Empire. The hill has an elevation of 1,403 meters (4,603 ft) above sea level, making it the highest hill-fort in the district.

12:00 am- Start Trek to Rajgad Fort
Sunday 11th September
2.30 am – Reach on Rajgad Top & Rest at Temple
5.00 am – Wakeup & Breakfast
6.00 am – Start Trek towards Torna Fort
11.30 am- Reach Torna Fort Top
12.30 pm – Start Descending
3.00 pm – Reach Base Village and Lunch
5.00 pm – Start Return Journey
8.00 pm – Reach Pune with Beautiful memories
