Kenjalgad – Raireshwar Trek
Kenjalgad is a beautiful fort located to the south of Pune near Bhor. A broad rock staircase leads to the top. There is a huge tunnel cum cave near the top with an excellent view.
This fort stands on the ridge, a long zigzag ridge which reaches to Raireshwar.
Raireshwar has a very beautiful 8km long plateau. Raireshwar has a very old temple famous for its historical importance, where shivaji Maharaj at the age of 16, took the oath of Hindavi Swarajya.
It has breathtaking views of mountains, green grasses and especially during the month of Septermber, it blossoms with vibrant pink flowers transforming the entire platue in mesmerizing flower bed.
This trek offers impressive landscapes of backwaters and Kamalgad fort. Here you get to see one of the best panormic views of the prominent Sahyadri mountains.
