PURUSHWADI FIREFLIES FESTIVAL 2026
Journey to the heart of the “Kajwa Mahotsav” at Purushwadi, one of the most iconic and culturally rich locations for firefly sightings in India. Known for its vast meadows and traditional village hospitality, Purushwadi offers a mesmerizing experience where the entire village landscape transforms into a twinkling galaxy.
THE PLAN:
The season runs from May 16 to June 21, 2026. This is an overnight village experience. We spend the evening exploring the firefly-rich meadows, enjoy a traditional dinner under the open sky, and experience the peaceful early morning vibes of a Sahyadri village.
SUITABLE FOR:
Families, photographers, and travelers who appreciate rural life and “Slow Travel.” This is a low-intensity event with minimal walking.
