One Day Trek to Torna Fort

“If Sinhgad is a cave then Torna is an eagle’s nest” – James Douglas.
In 1643, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj captured this fort at the age of sixteen. When Maharaj started restoration work of the fort, he came across a hidden treasure which financed the cost of rebuilding the fort of Rajgad which stands on the hill opposite Murumbdev.

*⏳ Trek Schedule:*

◾06:00 AM Start journey from Sarasbaug towards Torna Fort.
◾08:00 AM Reach Torna base village ‘Velhe’ and start the trek.
◾11:00 AM Reach the top of the fort, have a brief historical information session about the fort and a free discussion session.
◾11:15 AM Start visiting ancient places like Mengai Devi Temple, Budhla Machi and Jhunjar buruj.
◾01:30 PM After exploring fort start descending.
◾02:30 PM Reach at ‘Velhe’ and have unlimited lunch in hotel.
◾03:30 PM Start bus journey towards Pune.
◾08:30 PM Reach Pune.

*📝Covid 19 Guidelines:-*

We are Sahyadri Trekkers known for participant’s safety. Hence requested all to adhere government guidelines.

◼Private bus will be fully sanitized and disinfectants before the use.
◼At the time of boarding the bus, all the participants and the driver will be screened for temperature.
◼At pick up point If any participants shows any symptoms during the screening he/she will be advised to abort the trek.
◼Age Group from 10 years to 55 years are allowed to participate in event.
◼Mandatory use of face Mask and maintaining social distance with others is mandatory throughout the trek.
◼Carry your own sanitizers, gloves and extra pair of Mask is compulsory.
◼Sanitize your hands regularly for your own safety.
◼Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth without sanitation.
◼Participants are strictly not allowed to spit/gargle during the course of the trek.
◼Sharing of water bottles or any personal belonging is strictly not allowed.
◼If you obverse any symptoms by your own, quickly report to Trek leaders.
◼Avoid contact with others trekkers/Villagers.
◼In case of unforeseen weather conditions/government/local Authority/villagers restrictions, events may be get cancelled. In that case refund will not be applicable for the same.
◼Participants will be asked about their travel history during the last 14 days.If anybody has been in a red zone or has had an alarming travel history,he/she will be asked for Covid tests done during the last 5 days and they can then proceed with the booking.
◼Group Size of Participants is limited only 15.

◼Trekking is at your own risk.
◼To avoid the difficulties of those with you, you need to follow trek leader’s orders.
◼Do not misunderstand trek as a picnic or relaxing tour. We’re all going for an adventure and entertaining trekking campaign.
◼There may not be any suitable/proper toilet or bathroom in trek route.
◼We reserve all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice.
◼In case of casual weather or government restrictions, certain schedule can be modify/cancelled and in such cases Trek Leader’s decision will be final and binding.
◼All the Activities and programs carry an amount of risk of injury and you are aware that outdoor activities have an inherent risk of personal injury.
