About Harihar Fort
Harihar Fort, is modern easy name based on original name Harshgad.This fort is situated in Nashik district, in Trimbak range of Sahyadri. This hill-fort is well famous cliff for chimney style climbing and name given as Scottish fall by adventure lovers. Highest This fort is situated in Nashik district, in Trimbak range of Sahyadri. point of this hill fort is measured as 1120 meters above sea level. The Fort is in range called Upper Vaitarana range began from Fort Bhaskar or Basgad to Fort Anjaneri. Fort Basgad is seen exact in the West side hiding Utawad peak’s hill. In the East side most of view covered by Brahma hill which is little higher to this fort. Beyond Brahma we see Kapdya’s small slender hill and beyond it giant Trimabakgad hill fort. Beyond Trimbakgad we can find South ege of Anjaneri Hill Fort and Ranjangiri hill fort. With clear climate Awandh-Patta and Kalasubai range in South East and Saatmala and Shelbari ranges seen in North direction.

In 1670 This fort was captured by Moropant pingle who was Peshwa of Shivaji maharaj . On 8 Jan 1689 this fort was captured by Moghul sardar Mattabar khan but sooner it was recaptured by Marathas. Atlast in 1818 British Army defeated Marathas and captured this fort.

~ Registration will be on ‘FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS’ for the first 30 registrations only.
~ Anyone above 10 years can Join the Trek
~ Please book your seat (name) well in advance and reconfirm the time and date on the day of departure on phone because program may change due to unavoidable circumstances.
~ Bookings for all treks shall close a day before the event date. Bookings shall strictly be on first come first serve basis.
~ Each participant shall carry things as above (Please read Things to Carry) for every trek.
~ The leader’s decision will be final and all the members should abide by it. Trek leaders have the authority to alter/modify the program/route without intimation.
~ We all are committed to keep the trail clean and urges all participants to help the cause by not littering during the trek. Keep all the waste with you and even if you find some waste, collect it and deposit at the base village at the end of the trek. Do not destroy or dirty the archeological, historical monuments.
~ Participants should inform the leaders if they suffer from any heart ailments, blood pressure, asthma etc. If the leaders are not informed and any untoward incident takes place, neither the leaders nor MY MERA IINDIA Team will be held responsible.
~ Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking or any adventure activity is potentially risky. For all these events you are at your own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any mishaps/accidents during the program. Or compensation in whatsoever manner.
~ You can pay directly through bank transfers or deposit and send scan copy deposit slip
~ At the forest entry – point, All plastic bottles will be Counted & have to deposit some amount for the same. In case, if any participant member forgets his bottle in the sanctuary and couldn’t show it at the gate, he has to Pay Rs 100-200/- fine for the same.
