About Peb Fort :

Fort Peb is situated on the Northeast side of Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road & at a distance of 3-4 km on the west side of Neral. It is assumed that this fort derived its name Peb from the temple of “Goddess Pebi” at the base of the fort. The Fort is also known as “Vikatgad”. Historical references indicate that Shivaji Maharaj used the caves on the fort for storing grain.

Peb fort top provides panoramic view Chanderi fort, Nakhind, Tavli, Navra-Navri, Malang gad, Prabalgad, Kalavantin Durg and Dhom Lake.

Meeting Point : Sunday, 12.33 am at Neral Railway Station.

Itinerary :

12.45 am Meet-up, have a quick introduction round & start the journey towards 134 Junction of Matheran in a private rented vehicle.

1.30 am Reach the junction which is a start point of the trek & begin the trek through the railway tracks of Matheran.

During this night journey, enjoy the jungle trail, listen to the silence in nature’s lap, take ample halts in between to enjoy energy bars & packed juices/drinks we will be carrying.

4.00 am reach the top & take rest for a while. Settle down & wait for the sun to rise, do chit-chats, play games, click reels & selfies. Let the photographer inside u take the charge. If not, just sit & capture the moments in ur heart.

Till da sky becomes orange, our local guide will make tea for u. Let’s raise a toast of tea for the beautiful journey while witnessing the rising sun.

6.30 am Post sunrise, resting for a while & after clicking loads of pics, we will move towards 134 junction of Matheran via same route.

9.00 am On reaching taxi stand of the junction, scroll down to Neral station by the private rented vehicle.

9.30 am reach Neral stn, freshen-up & have a breakfast at local joint wid cup of tea

10.30 am commence return journey by train

Things to carry :

– Identity Proof
– 2 Litres of water (must)
– Good Trekking shoes; don’t ware flip-flops or kitos
– Torch with extra batteries
– Winter wears, sweaters, monkey cap etc. for a night trail.
– Cap, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion etc. for a morning walk
– Some ready to eat food like plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc
– Camera, power bank etc (Optional)
– 1 packet of electrol/ enerzal/ glucon-D
– Medications if required for individual
– A haversack to put all the things in, please do not carry sling bags, trolly bags or jholas

1. Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited
2. Trek Leader’s decision will be final and binding to everyone
3. Participants are responsible for his/her own safety and baggage
4. There is no freshen up / washroom facility except for public washrooms of India rail at the beginning & end of the trek ie near Neral stn.
5. Avoid carrying heavy weight for the trek
6. Do not carry laptops, expensive gadgets & gold ornaments etc.
7. Floaters and Sandals are not allowed, please wear sports shoes or trekking shoes of good quality
8. All the timings mentioned above are tentative
9. Do expect the safe & secured touring experience & not the comfortable or luxurious services

Important : Participant with any medical issues /history are not allowed to opt for this event; plz let us know in advance.

• If cancellation done prior to 6 days of outing 50% will be refunded.
• If done prior to 3 days of outing 25% will be refunded
• After that no refund will be provided.
