Yes, Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak of Maharashtra in the Sahyadri mountain range. At the summit is a small temple of the Kalsubai Goddess, the local deity. Suitable for beginners and at short distance from Mumbai makes Kalsubai best weekend activity.

The vastly spread-out backwaters of Bhandardara attract one’s attention from the top. To the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, and Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, and Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, and Ratangad (southwest) and on the south Padhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.

DAY 1 – Saturday,

Travel Schedule:
We’ll be boarding the below mentioned ‘Kasara’ Local from nearest Railway station. Train timings are shared for your convenience:

2.32 pm Dadar
2.40 pm Kurla
2.44 pm Ghatkopar
3.00 pm Thane
3.16 pm Dombivli
3.26 pm Kalyan
4.41 pm Kasara

Meeting Point: Kasara Railway Stn.

4:45 pm Meet at Kasara Station. Quick introduction round over the hot cup of tea & tasty Vada-Pav.

5:30 pm Move towards Bari (Base Village) in a private rented vehicle which is about 50-55 kms away.

8:00 pm Reach Bari village, get fresh & settled for a while at our host’s place.

8:30 pm Have delicious local cuisine for dinner & take rest for next couple of hours.

12.00 am Wakeup Call

DAY 2 – Sunday,

12:00 am Wake up, get ready for the trek & leave the base village.

12:30 am Move towards Kalsubai Peak, through dense forest, amidst fields and farmland. to experience the silent jungle, night creatures & stars

4:00 am Reach the pinnacle, set up the camera for star gazing or just lie down counting stars under the open sky. take rest or just chit chat till sun rises.

6:00 am once the sun rises, bask in the majestic view from the top, take selfies with an amazing background, explore nearby landscapes through Ur lens & simply live the moment!

Visit the old Kalsi Aai Temple for blessings before leaving the pinnacle.

7:00 am have breakfast with a cup of tea.

7:30 am Start the descend towards base village.

11:30 Reach our site at base village, get fresh n settle down for a while

12:00 pm enjoy typical Maharashtrian delicacy for lunch.

2:30 pm Start return Journey towards Kasara in our transfer vehicle.

5:30 pm Reach Kasara stn, get boarded in CST train. Don’t forget to say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again!

Things to carry:

• Trekking shoes with a good grip
• Trekking pants & Cap/Hat (compulsory), 2 T-Shirts (Preferably full sleeves or Half T-shirt with sleeves), extra pair of clothes including socs, Hand napkin or Towel, etc
• Ready-to-eat food like plum cakes, Dry fruits, dry snacks and biscuits, Chikki, chocolate bars, etc.
• Personal Medicines and Personal First aid
• backpack (waterproof or covered with waterproof cover)

(Note: Please wear Full sleeves and Full Track Pants, this will protect your body and skin from Sun /Thorns /Insects /Prickles etc)

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

• 75% refund within 5-7 working days, if notified 8 or more days prior to the event date.
• 50 % refund within 5-7 working days, if notified 4 to 7 days prior to the event date.
• No refund, if notified less than 3 days prior to the event date
• No show No Refund.
• Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
• Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another person against cancellation.
• If we cancel the trek, only the “Billing Amount” will be refunded, payment gateway fee is non-refundable.

Bhovara Policy:

• We strictly follow no alcohol, no drugs, and no litter policy.
• Seats will be reserved only after full payment.
• A complete schedule of the trek will be given to the registered participants 12 Hours prior on WhatsApp.
• Organizers have all the right to modify or change the schedule in case of any unavoidable circumstance.
• The tour is weather based and depends on the weather conditions. There may be last-minute cancellations if weather conditions deteriorate.
