Prabalmachi Camping and Kalavantin Trek – 31st December 2022 & 1st January, 2023

Prabalmachi Located near Shedung Phata is the base village for two famous treks Kalavantin Durg and Prabalgad. Prabalmachi Village offers basic camping comforts for the enthusiast with great views. You can see Karnala Fort, Panvel City, Matheran, Irshalgad, Morbe Dam from Prabalmachi.
Kalavantin durg was used as a watch tower and is located right next to Prabalgad Fort. The beauty of this trek is the amazing rock cut steps that zig zag their way up the mountain to take you to the top of the fort. One can get a panoramic view from the top, not to mention the thrill of an exposed climb via the stairs.

• Total time required for climbing: Maximum 2 hrs from Thakurwadi
• Duration: 1 day and 1 night
• Cost: Rs. 1100/- per person.
• Group size: Maximum 20 person.

Kalavantin Trek with Prabalmachi Camping Itinerary:
Day 1st -Saturday:
04:00 PM: Assemble outside of Panvel Railway Station near the ticket counter.
04:15 PM: Move towards base village Thakurwadi by private local vehicle.
05:15 PM: Reach Thakurwadi and after a brief instructions session start ascend to Prabalmachi village.
07:00 PM: Reach campsite at Prabalmachi, have evening tea and get some pictures and prepare for a night under the sky.
8:30 PM: Have delicious dinner and after dinner play a few games, share stories/experience, let the singer in you come out, make new friends and enjoy the campfire.
11:30 PM: Off to the tents and take a sleep (For those who are very sleepy). Good Night😴

Day 2nd – Sunday
05:30 AM: Wake up call and freshen up.
06:00 AM: Start ascending Kalavantin durg.
07:00 AM: Reach on top and explore.
07:30 AM: Start descending towords Prabalmachi.
09:00 AM: Reach Prabalmachi, freshen up, have breakfast and prepare to leave.
10:00 AM: Start descend towards Thakurwadi.
11:30 AM: Reach Thakurwadi and move toward Panvel by private local vehicle.
12:30 PM: Reach Panvel railway station and disperse.

*Note:*
• Kalavantin Trek is optional, if you don’t want to do, you relax at campsite.
• For Kalavantin Trek proper trek shoes and torch are compulsory. Otherwise, will not allow to do trek.

INCLUSIONS/EXCLUSIONS:

What is included in the trek:

• Panvel station to Panvel station Transport
• Evening tea and Dinner on Day 1
• Breakfast & Tea on Day 2
• Accommodation in Tents on the Double Sharing basis.
• Entry Fees & Permit
• Campfire

• Wash Rooms facilities

What is NOT included in the tour:
• Any kind of personal expenses.
• Any kind of cost which is not mentioned in the cost includes above.

Things to Carry:
• Identity Proof (Mandatory)
• Bottle of Water (at least 2 litres)
• Torch with extra batteries.
• Ready to eat food like kukumber, Apple, Dates(khajur), dry fruits etc.
• Cap, Camera (Optional).
• Carry exrta Bedsheet / Pull Over / blanket /Sleeping Bag (A pair of Bedsheet will be provided in Tent).
• Good Trekking shoes
• Jacket as it would be cold in night.
• Personal care stuff, ORS, electron, Glucon-D etc. Other medicines which you require usually.
• Haversack to put all the things in, please do not carry sling bags or jholas.

*Keep in mind:*
• Basic Washroom facility (Indian Toilets) available at the campsite, it is a camping activity and not a leisure trip so one needs to prepare themselves accordingly.
• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery.
• A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances.
• Before planning for any adventure activity, please improve your minimum physical fitness.
• Cover-up wear full sleeves shirts and full pants, hiking shoes, caps.
• Consuming any alcohol, cigarettes, pan masala, tobacco, drugs should be avoided; they induce a lot of spitting, urinating, and passive smoke, which can be harmful for the general population.
