Description
As half of the monsoon is over, we are ready to make some more memories and take advantage of the foggy season of the year. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy the endurance trek from Naneghat to Bhimashankar.
First of all we would like to thank you all, for such a great response for 3 monsoon treks, Thanale – Sudhagad, Dev-Daundya – Nimgiri – Hanumantgad & Vadgaon -Kudpan -Pratpgad.
As we said this is the perfect time to do the endurance trek of Naneghat to Bhimashankar (Na-Bhi), as at this time of year there will be not heavy rain so that we can expect to do the trek without worrying about thunderstorms and also it will be not too sunny so we will not get tired in this treacherous and little challenging trek. Unlike LoBhi this will not be just a flat walk of 3 days but a little bit more exciting and you will definitely need more endurance to complete this trek.
Day 1 :
We will meet at Kalyan Station at 7:00 AM, with all loaded backpacks and ready for adventure. From here we will start our journey towards Naneghat in local transport. After having breakfast we will reach the starting point of our trek. From here it’s around 2-2:30 hours to ascend to Naneghat, where we will explore the ancient trade route. From here again we will take Jeep to cover 6 km tar road distance, meanwhile we can have lunch which you all carried from home, and again prepare ourselves for a 3 hours trek to reach Amboli village, which will be our rest point for day 1.
Day 2 :
On the 2nd day we have to carry the pack lunch from Village in tiffin which you need to carry with you, and start trek towards Dhakoba fort. This day starts with a good stretch of ascend, and after that we have a treat to our eyes from the viewpoint of Konkankada, where we will have our packed lunch. From here its comparatively easy trail up to Ahupe village, the last few kilometers we can have the luxury of a jeep ride.
Day 3 :
The final Day. On the third day we’ll reach our final destination to Bhimashankar. We will start our trek earlier so that we can complete as early as possible and reach home early.
Once we have breakfast we will start trekking from Ahupe. After crossing the midpoint of Konadhawal we shall reach the final point at Bhimashankar Temple. Here after having lunch we will descend down to Khandas village via Ganesh ghat to conclude the trek with lots of memories.
