About Nagzira:
Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Bhandara and Gondia districts of Maharashtra, is known as the “Green Oasis of Vidarbha.” It boasts rich biodiversity with species like tigers, leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, Indian gaur, sambar deer, and over 166 species of birds. Now a part of the Nagzira-Navegaon Tiger Reserve, it plays a crucial role in tiger conservation efforts. The sanctuary’s dense forests, lakes, and diverse wildlife make it an excellent destination for nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers.
Planned Itinerary:
Day 1:
• Pickup from Nagpur (between 7:30 – 8:30 AM) and transfer to a nature camp near Nagzira Tiger Reserve.
• Post-lunch, depart for the first jungle safari at 2:30 PM.
• Return to the resort, followed by an interactive session over dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2:
• Early morning jungle safari (5:30 AM) with a packed breakfast.
• Return to the resort by 11:00 AM for rest, followed by lunch.
• Depart for the evening jungle safari (2:30 PM).
• Return to the resort, followed by an interactive session over dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3:
• Early morning jungle safari (5:30 AM) with a packed breakfast.
• Return to the resort by 11:00 AM, followed by relaxation.
• Proceed to Nagpur for departure.
Target Species
• Wildlife: Leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, and tigress T4, recently spotted with four cubs.
• Birds: Eagles, owls, drongos, orioles, and more.
