Kothaligad is more commonly known as the fort of Peth because the village of Peth is situated at its base. The pinnacle of the Peth can be seen from the village. It looks like a filed surface. On reaching the top of the fort, we see caves carved in huge rocks. The first one is the cave of Goddess, besides which is awater cistern and the last one is the specious Bhairoba cave.A flat floorand well-sculpted pillars are specialty of the cave. Along the Bhairoba cave, steps are carved leading the pinnacle.
Four–Five potholes and some cannon balls are scattered in the fort. Kalwawantinicha Mahal, Nagfani, Siddhagad, Malanggad, Chanderi, Prabalgad, Manikgad, and Matheran all these surrounding historical places are visible from top of the fort Peth.

Meeting Point For Mumbai & Pune people :- Karjat railway Station at 8.00 am.
Catch the 6:10 am cst-karjat fast local. People who live on slow track station please come ur nearest station

For Pune peoples reach Karjat 08:00 am.
Meeting Point : Karjat Station – 08:00 am
08:30 am We will proceed to the base village Ambivali by bus/tum-tum.

09:30 am Reach Ambiwali, and have Breakfast, Introduction
10:30 am Start Trek
01:00 pm Reach on top. Explore the fort and Lunch.
02:00 pm Start Descending
04:30 pm Reach base Village and have Refreshment.
05:00 pm Move toward Karjat by bus, tum-tum
06:30 pm Reach Karjat and take local to Mumbai.
Members are requested to take return ticket till karjat by their own.
The cost of the trek will be Rs. 800/- per head
Includes:-Transportation from Karjat to Karjat, Breakfast and Lunch, Guide & expertise Charges

Any personal expenses
Any other charges non mentioned above.
One needs to deposit INR 700/- into the following bank account to confirm his/her registration.

Things to be carried:
Identity proof.

Wind Cheater a must
A bottle of water (Atleast 3 Ltrs),
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.
Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)
Good trekking shoes,
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried.
Please avoid wearing GOLD and other ornaments.

Rules and Regulations:
1. Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
2. Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding.
3. We reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
4. Telephonic confirmation is mandatory, if unable to contact send us a text message.
5. Sleeveless, low neck, figure hugging shirts/tops, short pants, hot pants not allowed.
6. Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery (at your own risk)
7. Please do not carry handbags or Jolas or Sling bags. Payment made is non refundable and non transferable.
Cancellation and Refund:
1. If cancellation done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
2. If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded
3. After that no refund will be provided.
