Monsoon Trek To Kalsubai

Kalsubai peak height is 1646 meter (5400 feet). Kalsubai is Highest peak of Western Ghat/Sahayadri. It is also known as Everest of Maharashtra. Various peak are situated around Kalsubai like the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad (south west) and to the south Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.
The peak attracts a large number of trekkers and devotees determined to scale the mountain. To reach the summit there are well designated trekking routes. The trek route is a mix of easy to ascend slopes as well as treacherous rocky outcrops overlooking the valley below. The government has built iron ladders along the vertical hill slopes. These assist trekkers to allow for a convenient and safe ascent.

Itinerary
10:45 pm – Meet at Borivali National Park main gate.

11:00 pm – Leave for the trek.

11:30 pm – Pick up at Andheri WEH.

11:45 pm – Pick up at Kalanagar bus stop (on the highway), Bandra.

12:00 am – Pick up at Sion station circle.

12:10 am – Amar Mahal, Ghatkopar.

12:45 am – Pick up at Teen Hath Naka, Thane.

01:10 am – Pick up at Kalyan Bypass.

Day One
04:30 am – Reach Bari village.
05:30 am – Have tea and biscuits at the base village
06:00 am – Start ascending.
09:30 am – Reach on top. Explore top. Have a breakfast.
10:30 am – Start descending.
01:30 pm – Reach base village and have lunch. Simple veg thali, Jain food is available.
02:30 pm – Start return journey towards Mumbai.
08:00 pm – Approx. arrival at Mumbai, Please note roads are in bad condition delays will be there.
