*On public demand here we are again with Harishchandragad and Kokankada trek*

*Location Details -*

A popular trek which offers a variety of adventures to all kind of trekkers. It climbs up to an altitude of 4,670 ft.

*Harishchandragad* is an ancient fort. Harishchandragad trek has many temples, Pushkarni and caves on the top. They all represent different cultures starting from the 6th century. The various constructions on the fort and those in the surrounding region indicate the existence of diverse cultures. Saptatheertha Pushkarni, Kedareshwar cave, Harishchandra temple and other caves are the examples for that. ⛰️🏞️

*Konkankada* overlooks the Konkan region hence the name. Kada means cliff in Marathi. It is a standing tall natural wall that has a concave structure. Because of this structure, you can experience many natural phenomenon such as vertical cloud bursts, circular rainbows also called a Brocken spectre. The clouds nearing the cliff get sucked into the pitfall area below and thrown vertically into the sky. This creates the impression of the vertical cloud burst.

*Harishchandreshwar Temple* is a glorious example of the fine art of carving sculptures out of stones that prevailed in ancient India. This temple has been carved out of a single huge rock.

*Kedareshwar cave* have a big Shiva Linga surrounded by water.

*Saptateertha Pushkarni* is a well-built lake located to the east of the Harishchandreshwar temple. There used to be idols of Lord Vishnu inside the temple-like structure that are on the bank of the lake. Now, they have been moved to the caves.

*ITINERARY:*

Event Start ->

Day 1:

> Reach the pickup point by no later than 7:45pm (Saturday, 13th Aug)

> Start from DSP Chowk by 08:00 pm post attendance 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🚎

Day 2

> Reach base village approx. around 5:00 am 📍

> Get freshen up

> Morning tea and breakfast on arrival

> Get ready by 5:55 am for Harishchandragad and Kokankada Trek.

> Complete a trek to The Harishchandragad and visit the magical Kokan Kada for a breath-taking view and thrilling experience. Visit all the possible places at harishchandragad, the places are Saptatheertha Pushkarni, Kedareshwar cave, Harishchandeshwar temple and other caves.

You will find yourself surrounded by clouds and beautiful waterfalls on the way and spend some quality time admiring the beauty of nature and the creation of this amazing sahyadris.

>Delicious afternoon lunch at 01:00 PM. (Approx)

> Start return journey trekking towards the Base Village and reach base village in 1.5 hrs approx.

>Sight-seeing (If time Permits)

> Start return Journey towards Jalgaon.

> Evening Tea and dinner will be provided on the way to Jalgaon.

> reach Jalgaon by around 11:59 pm

Event End !!!

We will be taking 1 halt on the way to Harishchandragad and Kokankada Base village on Day 1 where you can have dinner or refreshments at your own cost. and the 2nd day’s dinner would be provided by us.

NOTE: The above schedule is tentative and is subject to change based on weather conditions, traffic and other uncontrollable reasons. Management’s decision will be final.

• We strongly recommend not wearing / carrying any valuable jewellery. Participants will be responsible for their own safety and baggage.

• Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. There can be changes in the event plans and itinerary according to the real-time situations.

• Carrying or consumption of alcohol and smoking is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed.🚭

• No littering, especially while at the trek. Carry bags to gather your waste in or hand it over to our leaders and volunteers.

• Dear Trekkers, always remember SHOES are your best companion on a trek! Please wear a good pair of Gripped SHOES and not Floaters or Flip-flops while trekking. You can carry floaters to wear only after the trek is completed. 👟👟
