About GARBETT PLATEAU TREK MATHERAN:

Matheran has garnered a reputation of one of the most favorite hill-stations in Maharashtra for some reasons. The bountiful rains, good greenery and waterfalls around. Garbett Plateau is located in the south-west direction of Matheran, offering a 360 degree view of all-time favorite hill stations. Matheran is famous & splendid hill station in Maharashtra, it covers an area of 8 square kilometers in Sahyadris. This Fantastic spot was discovered in 1850 by Hugh Poyntz Malet, the collector of Thane district. Garbett point is located on South-west side of Matheran with grand view of the plateau. Climate here is very cool with some breathtaking views.

ROUTE: Pune > Lonavala > Karjat > Diksal > Bhivpuri > Matheran

PICK UP POINTS: To be shared 1 day prior to trek on WhatsApp group (Usual pick points: Eon, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi)

• First pick up at 5:00 AM (may change per location)
• Breakfast on the way
• Reach Matheran by 7:00 AM
• Start our trek, Reach Matheran 09 AM
• Explore Garbett Plateau
• Start Return Trek to Bhivpuri Village
• Lunch in Sagachi Wadi
• Reach Bhivpuri Village by 4 PM
• Start Return Journey to Pune Reach Pune by 8 PM

(Please note: All the timings mentioned above are based on the previous experiences from the trek. Timings may differ. RNT TREKKERS will NOT be responsible for any deviation from the schedule given above)

BOOKING POLICY:
o Prior confirmation with payment is required by 10 July, till 7.30 pm
o Confirmation will be cancelled if payment not received by 10 July
o The participant receives a payment invoice via WhatsApp within 24 hours of successful booking

o Extra Pair of shoes or chappals
o Miscellaneous: Swiss Knife, Torchlight or Flashlight (night treks), Cap/Hat, Sanitizers, Masks, Sunscreen, camera, etc.

DO’S & DON’TS:
 DO NOT throw Garbage & Plastic or litter around or near a water source or on a trek trail
 Use Call sign “Hello” “Oyee” incase if you are not in visible distance to the group
 Alert group against any falling object / rock – Recommended – call sign “Watch Out”
 Avoid wandering alone or click Selfie’s near the edge of an exposed valley
 Do not eat/pluck any fruits from the forest without trek leader’s consent as it could be poisonous
 Do not provoke or harm any animals, birds or honeybees
 Do not jump into a water body without trek leader’s permission
 Smoking & Alcohol consumption is strictly not allowed in any event of RNT TREKKERS
