*About The Mahuli fort*
There is a Durgatrikut near Asangaon in Shahapur taluka in Thane district. Mahuli – Bhandargarh and Palasgarh together form this strong thane. This must-see place will make any nature lover crazy with its natural beauty. This long hill with many cones is known as Mahuli. Mahuli is divided into three parts by the two saddles namely Palasgad in the north, Mahuligad in the middle and Bhandargad in the south. Because of these three forts, Thane of Mahuli was impregnable. That’s why Shahaji Maharaj took the support of Mahuli fort to save the Nizamshahi.
