This is an intensive learning experience delving deep into the science of expertise and learning and the principles, methods, philosophies and core concepts of parkour coaching.
The course is a mixture of theory, groupwork, discussion and practical elements of training and coaching. You will be active and engaged the entire time, including homework elements in the evening, so we recommend clearing your schedule for the week to get the most out of the experience. It is immersive, challenging and packed with information and experiential learning.
The certification is comprised of two parts: the Training Course, lasting for 5 days, and the Assessments, a 2 day phase.
Following completion of the Level 2 Course, candidates must prepare for and complete the Assessment phase between 3 months to 2 years following the course.
This is to allow suitable time for the content of the course to be absorbed and put into practice, and the feedback of the course tutor to be acted upon before attempting the assessments. Assessments are booked separately via this website.
The certification process involves a post-course self-reflection experience; 40 reflective coaching sessions must be satisfactorily completed by each participant within 24 months of the end of the course and before the Assessments. Evidence of these 40 sessions must be brought to your Assessment phase.
The Level 2 Coach Certification course lasts 5 days, each day starting at 09:00 and finishing at 18:00. Once you’ve booked your chosen course you’ll be sent further information, including the exact address of the course and contact information for your host and tutor. If you need this information before booking, scroll down and Ask A Question.

FAQs
How do I know if I’m ready to join an ADAPT Level 1?
ADAPT Level 1 is the entry level course for parkour instructors. Participants should have an understanding of the basic parkour techniques and should be comfortable training within a group in a variety of settings and environments. Prior teaching experience is useful, although not required.
What do I need to do to pass ADAPT?
In order to receive the ADAPT Level 1 certification; participants must complete the 3-day course, which involves practical assessments as well as a written assessment. Candidates can then begin logging the required supervised coaching session with an ADAPT Level 2 or Level 3 instructor, including a final “assessed live coaching session” at the end of this period. If successful, the candidate will then receive the ADAPT Level 1 Certification.
Note: The supervised coaching sessions with a Level 2 or Level 3 instructor must be completed within 12 months from the end of the course.
How do the supervised coaching sessions and “assessed live coaching sessions” work?
The supervised coaching hours are designed to make sure that the candidate is able to instruct at a level consistent with the ADAPT Level 1 standard. The sessions must be completed with a certified ADAPT Level 2 or Level 3 instructor, who can be found in a number of cities around the country. Many participants are able to complete most of their supervised hours at workshops and/or classes that usually take place directly after the course in the host city. For a complete list of Level 2 and Level 3 coaches in your area go to : https://store.adaptqualifications.com/pages/adapt-certified or email info@adaptqualifications.com

Valid photo ID
