🔍 About the Trek:
Kothaligad, also known as Fort of Peth, is a picturesque hill fort nestled in the Sahyadris near Ambivali village, east of Karjat. Though small in height, it’s a favorite among trekkers for its scenic trails and easy climb.

This unique range trek takes you through two historic mountain passes – Nakhinda Ghat and Kaulyachi Dhar, which connect the Konkan coast to the Deccan Plateau. These routes, still used by locals, offer breathtaking monsoon views and an immersive experience of the Western Ghats.

📝 Itinerary

Day 0 – Saturday, 02nd Aug 2025

11:30 PM – Depart from Pune (Private Non-AC Vehicle)

Day 1 – Sunday, 03rd Aug 2025

3:00 AM – Arrive at base village & rest
5:30 AM – Wake up, Tea & Breakfast
7:00 AM – Begin trek via Nakhinda Ghat (visit Nakhinda en route)
8:30 AM – Descend towards Kothligad
11:30 AM – Reach Kothligad Fort, explore surroundings
12:30 PM – Packed lunch inside Kothligad caves
1:15 PM – Ascend via Kaulyachi Dhar back to Nakhinda
4:30 PM – Reach base village
5:00 PM – Tea & snacks, begin return journey
9:00 PM – Reach Pune with unforgettable memories
