About Ramshej Fort:

According to the history records, after the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, many forts put up strong resistance under the leadership of his son Sambhaji. This tiny fort was no exception. The fort was attacked by Aurangzeb’s army and his commanders threatened the Maratha kingdom saying that they would capture the fort in hours but Shivaji Maharaja’s son Sambhaji and his army resisted these attacks for almost 6 years. Later, Ramshej fort was one of the 17 strongholds which were surrendered to the British in 1818 CE.

Day 1 Saturday
10:00 pm – Meet the team at Borivali National Park Gate
10:30 pm – JVLR
10:55 pm – Kanjumarg Highway
11:20 pm – Mulund
11:45 pm – Thane Teen Haath Naka
12:30 pm – Kalyan

Day 2 Sunday
03:45 am – Reach base village.
05:30 am – Wake up call and freshen up
06:00 am – Breakfast time
06:45 am – Start the trek with brief instructions
08:15 am – Summit and start the fort exploration
10:30 am – Start descent
11:15 pm – Reach base village and freshen up
02:00 pm – Lunch will be served
03:30 pm – Leave for Mumbai / Pune respectively
09:00 pm – Reach Mumbai / Pune tentatively

INCLUSIONS:

THINGS TO CARRY:
● At least 2-3 liters of drinking water
● Torch with extra batteries
● Photo ID card
● Some ready to eat food (plum cakes, biscuits)
● Jackets
● Electoral/Tang powder/Glucose-D/salt
● Cap, camera, mobiles phones, socks, extra pairs of clothes. (if required) bedsheet/blanket
● Any personal medicines

SAFETY MEASURES:
◆ Keep emergency numbers handy
◆ Cover your backpack with a rain cover while trekking
◆ Wrap all your things in plastic in the haversack
◆ Follow existing trails and do not stray away.
◆ Equip yourself against pesky insects

RULES:
● In mountains & jungles, smoking/spraying deodorants attract honeybees and one has to face a dangerous “honeybee attack” where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking/deodorants is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. If found will be expelled from the group.
● The leader’s decision will be final and binding.
● The team reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
● Telephonic confirmation for booking is mandatory; if unable to contact us then send a text message and we will call you back.
● Please do not carry handbags or jholas or sling bags on treks.
● Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. If carried, then we do not take any liability for the same.

REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS:
● If cancellation is done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
● If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded.
● After that, no refund will be provided.
● If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants have the option to adjust the paid amount with any forthcoming event or ask for a complete refund.
