*Overview Karnala Fort:*
_Karnala Fort, also called Funnel Hill, is a historic hill fort located in Raigad District, just 10 km from Panvel and 65 km from Mumbai, along the Mumbai-Goa Highway. It stands at 1,500 feet and is nestled within the Karnala Bird Sanctuary, making it a perfect trek for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The fort is known for its distinctive pinnacle, offering stunning panoramic views of the Sahyadris._

_The trek is beginner-friendly, making it ideal for families, kids, and first-time trekkers. The trail takes you through dense forests, home to over 200 bird species, including migratory birds. Monsoons make the trail lush and scenic, while winters offer clear skies and pleasant weather. At the top, explore ancient ruins and enjoy breathtaking views._

*Overview Sankshi Fort:*
_The Sank King constructed the fortress; the king killed in a battle. His daughter Jagamata committed suicide by jumping from the Fort, a popular local legend. In 1540 Nizamshah of Ahmednagar conquered Sankshi fort from the Sultan of Gujarat. Later Portuguese helped the Sultan to capture Sankshi Killa back from the Nizamshah. Sultan under the assumption that the Nizams were going for counter-offensive handed the Fort over to the Portuguese and returned to Gujarat. The Nizam continued attacking the Portuguese at Sankshi Fort. To stop these attacks, the Portuguese purchased the Sankshi Killa and Karnala Killa from the Nizam._

08:00 AM: Move towards Karnala Fort
08:25 AM: Reach Karnala Fort
08:45 AM: Start the trek with basic instructions and get to know each other
10:30 AM: Summit the fort and explore
11:30 AM: Start the descent
12:30 PM: Reach base village and freshen up
12:45 PM: Lunch
02:00 PM: Board bus for Sankshi Fort
02:50 PM: Reach Sankshi Fort
03:00 PM: Start the trek with basic instructions

*Important Rules*
● In mountains & jungles, smoking/spraying deodorants attract honeybees and one has to face a dangerous “honeybee attack” where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking/deodorants is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. If found will be expelled from the group.
● The leader’s decision will be final and binding.
● Sahasi Sahyadri reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
● Telephonic confirmation for booking is mandatory; if unable to contact us then send a text message and we will call you back.
● Please do not carry handbags or jholas or sling bags on treks.
● Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. If carried, then we do not take any liability for the same.
● Trekking Shoes (Action Trekking or Coaster CTR Shoes are recommended, Avoid Forclaz/Quechua/Running/Other Sports Shoes for Treks in Maharashtra)

*Refunds OR Cancellations*
● If cancellation is done prior to 7 days of the outing 75% will be refunded.
● If done prior to 3 days of outing 30% will be refunded.
● After that, no refund will be provided.
● If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants have the option to adjust the paid amount with any forthcoming event or ask for a complete refund.
