ABOUT HARIHAR

Harihar fort / Harshagad is a fort located in, Nashik, Maharashtra. It is an important fort in Nashik district, and was constructed to look upon the trade route through Gonda Ghat. It receives many visitors because of its peculiar rock-cut steps.Harihar fort was built during the Yadava period. It was surrendered by Shahaji Raje Bhosale to Khan Zamam in 1636 along with Trymbak and other Poona forts.The fort was captured by Captain. Briggs in 1818 along with other 17 forts.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1 Saturday
11:00 PM Meet and greet the team @ Borivali National Park Gate
(Rest pickups to be announced 2 days prior to the event)

Day 2 Sunday
03:30 AM Reach base village and rest until day break
05:00 AM Wake up call and freshen up
05:30 AM Have breakfast and get ready for a thrilling adventure
06:00 AM Start the trek with a group introduction and basic instructions
07:00 AM Reach the first plateau and take a 10 min break.
07:30 AM Reach the point from where we start ascending the 80 degree incline steps
08:20 AM Summit the fort and explore it.
10:00 AM Start the descent
11:30 AM Reach base village and freshen up
12:00 PM Lunch time
01:30 PM Start with our return journey towards Mumbai
07:30 PM Reach Mumbai tentatively with abundant memories to cherish

TREK MEASURES:
◆ Keep emergency numbers handy
◆ Wrap all your things in plastic in the haversack
◆ Follow existing trails and do not stray away.
◆ Equip yourself against pesky insects

THINGS TO CARRY:
● At least 2-3 liters of drinking water
● Torch with extra batteries
● Photo ID card
● Some ready to eat food (plum cakes, biscuits)
● Jackets
● Electoral/Tang powder/Glucose-D/salt
● Cap, camera, mobiles phones, socks, extra pairs of clothes. (if required)
● Any personal medicines

RULES:
● In mountains & jungles, smoking/spraying deodorants attract honeybees and one has to face a dangerous “honeybee attack” where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking/deodorants is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. If found will be expelled from the group.
● The leader’s decision will be final and binding.
● Sahasi Sahyadri reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
● Telephonic confirmation for booking is mandatory; if unable to contact us then send a text message and we will call you back.
● Please do not carry handbags or jholas or sling bags on treks.
● Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. If carried, then we do not take any liability for the same.
● Trekking Shoes (Action Trekking or Coaster CTR Shoes are recommended, Avoid Forclaz/Quechua/Running/Other Sports Shoes for Treks in Maharashtra)

TIME TO UNWIND:
There are important things that need to be taken care of traveling like:
1) HYDRATE YOURSELF!
Drink water as traveling dehydrates you. Travel gets you off your normal routine. So, keep drinking water throughout the day to keep yourself healthy during your travel.
2) USE SUNSCREEN GENEROUSLY
It does not matter whether you are on a desert destination or on the beach or in the city, sunscreen is always a must. Find a good moisturizer with SPF in it to just wear it.
3) PACK WHAT YOU NEED
Different people have different packing options. Pack how you would like to pack and have no regrets.
However, take care not to go overboard as there are weight limits one can carry.

REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS:
● If cancellation is done prior to 7 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
● If done prior to 3 days of outing 30% will be refunded.
● After that, no refund will be provided.
● If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants have the option to adjust the paid amount with any forthcoming event or ask for a complete refund.
