The Kanheri Caves are a group of caves and rock-cut monuments cut into a massive basalt outcrop in the forests of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park,Mumbai.
They contain Buddhist sculptures and relief carvings, paintings and inscriptions, dating from the 1st century CE to the 10th century CE.

Mr.Navin Mhatre will educate us on history,philosophy and architecture of Kanheri Caves

Schedule :
-Gather at Main Gate of Sanjay Gandhi National Park,Borivali at 8.30 am
-Proceed to Kanheri Caves b vehicle
-Reach Kanheri and Explore till 1 pm
-Lunch Break
-Resume exploration
-Conclude by 4 pm
-Reach Park gate by 5 pm
(Schedule may change under unavoidable circumstances)
