Kalavantin Durg is easily seen from Panvel. Opposite Matheran and next to Prabalgad Fort. Kalavantin is a 500 meters high pinnacle on the northern edge of the Prabalgad plateau. Kalavantin Durg is good one-day Trek near Mumbai
The Prabalgad Fort stands at an elevation of 2,300 feet (700 m) in the Western Ghats. The fort was previously known as Muranjan until it was taken over and renamed by the Maratha forces under Shivaji’s rule. Its sister fort is Irshalgad.
Irshalgad is a fortress located between Matheran and Panvel in Maharashtra, India. It is a sister fort to Prabalgad. The area of the fort is not large but there are several water cisterns cut from the rock. The nearest village is Irshalwadi.

ITINERARY:
Day 1 – 02 July – Saturday
10:00 pm – Meet Shiledar Team @ Mumbai – Panvel Station / Pune – Swargate

Day 2 – 03 July – Sunday
02:30 am – Reach base village Thakurwadi, start trek to Prabalmachi & Rest
05:30 am – Wake Up Call and freshen up
06:30 am – Start trekking after a brief introduction
07:30 am – Summit Kalavantin Pinnacle
08:30 am – Trek toward Prabalgad
10:00 am – Reach prabalgad & explore
12:00 pm – Trek toward Irshalgad
03:00 pm – Reach Irshalgad & Explore
05:30 pm – Start journey back to Mumbai / Pune
09:00 pm – Reach Mumbai / Pune tentatively

🎒 Things to be carried:

– Photo ID card
– Carry a sufficient amount of sanitizer, masks, gloves, and a personal medical kit (MUST)
– Carry a personal set of utensils like spoon, plates, and cups/mugs. (MUST)
– 2 litters of water & ORS (Must), Electoral/Tang powder/Glucose-D/Salt
– Carry Some ready to eat food (plum cakes, biscuits fruits, dry fruits to munch on during trek and to avoid dehydration.)
– Torch with extra batteries (Must)
– Full sleeve T-shirts and full pant. For girl’s full neck t-shirt. Cap, camera, mobiles phones, socks, extra pairs of clothes.
– Jackets/Raincoat
– Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes (Must)
– Carry 3-4 extra carry-bags
– Packs things properly to protect from rain
– Warm cloths, Bedding / Shawl / bed-sheets sleeping bag (for rest)
– Camera, Cap etc. (Optional)
– Electrolyte packets as energy drinks (optional)
– Good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks (Must)
– A haversack to put in all the things.
– Good to have stick for support.

RULES:
● In mountains & jungles, smoking / spraying deos attracts honeybees and one has to face dangerous “honeybee attack” where survival of the person is difficult, hence smoking / deodrants is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. If found will be expelled from the group.
● Leader’s decision will be final and binding.
● Shiledar Team reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
● Telephonic confirmation for booking is mandatory; if unable to contact us then send a text message and we will call you back.
● Please do not carry handbags or jholas or sling bags on treks.

REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS:
● If cancellation done prior to 15 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
● If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded.
● After that no refund will be provided.
● If the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants have the option to adjust the paid amount with any forthcoming event or ask for a complete refund.
