About Kalavantin Durg:
Kalavantin Durg is located near Panvel and stands tall at approximately 2300 ft above sea level. This iconic V-shaped pinnacle, visible from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, is situated right beside Prabalgad. The trek offers mesmerizing panoramic views of surrounding peaks and villages including Matheran, Chanderi Fort, Irshalgad, Karnala Fort and Manikgad.
The trek is divided into two patches:
Patch 1: Gradual uphill trail till Prabalmachi, where routes divide towards Kalavantin and Prabalgad.
Patch 2: A steep and thrilling climb to Kalavantin Pinnacle via rock-cut steps. The exposed height and narrow trail make it one of the most adventurous climbs in the Sahyadris.

Saturday, 14th March:
01:00 PM – Departure from Pune
04:30 PM – Reach Base Village & Start Trek to Prabalmachi
07:00 PM – Reach Prabalmachi, Dinner & Camping
Sunday, 15th March:
04:00 AM – Wake-up Call, Freshen Up & Breakfast
04:30 AM – Trek to Kalavantin Durg
06:40 AM – Witness Sunrise from the Top
11:00 AM – Return to Base Village, Brunch & Start Return Journey
01:30 PM – Reach Pune
