About Kalavantin Durg:
Kalavantin Pinnacle Is located near Panvel and elevated approx. 2300 ft. above sea level. This trek mesmerises with a beautiful top-view of the surrounding areas, such as quaint villages like Matheran, Chanderi, Shrimalang gad, Irshalgad, Karnala and Manikgad.
Kalavantin Pinnacle trek is divided into two patches, first is uphill terrain till Prabalmachi where the trek route is divided for Kalavantin durg and Prabalgad. The second patch for Kalavantin steep hike, thrilling climb using rock cut steps. We can spot this hill from the Mumbai-Pune expressway, thanks to its V- shape, located right next to the Prabalgad hill.
Itinerary:
Sunday 25th June 2023:
5:30 am: Start from Pune
7:00 am: Breakfast on the way
8:30 am: Reach Base Village, Thakurwadi
8:45 am: Introduction and start trek towards Prabalmachi
10.15 am: Reach Prabalmachi
10.30: Start trek towards Kalavantin Pinnacle
12:00 pm: Reach the top, click pictures and explore nature beauty
12.45 pm: start descending towards Prabalmachi
1.45 pm: Reach Prabalmachi and Lunch
2:45 pm: Start descending to base
4.15 pm: Reach Base
4.30 pm: Starts return journey
6:00 pm: Tea and Snacks on the way
Reach Pune by 08:00pm with lot of memories.
