The Kalakarai pinnacle, often referred to as “Dhakcha Angatha” due to its thumb-like shape, is a popular climbing destination among mountaineers. The left path along the ridge leads to a cliff, where having a rope and rock climbing gear with a team of experts is essential for reaching the summit. This pinnacle involves approximately 200 feet of rock climbing. The ascent begins with a vertical climb at a 90-degree angle, followed by a short traverse that includes an exhilarating move, which leads to another 90-degree rock section offering stunning views of the valley below. The descent involves rappelling down 200 feet. There are two approaches: one from Karjat Sandshi village and the other is a more accessible trail starting from Kondeshvar temple near Jambhavali village.
